Why is Texas even being considered for the Cotton Bowl? They suck.

Can't they go outside of the Big 12?

I don't see LSU going to the Cotton either.

I see them going to the Sugar or Fiesta.

LSU is set up really nice. I truly believe SC beats ND, even if SC craps the bed this weekend. SC thrives in the spoiler role when they aren't even in the mix for anything. They already have the talent.

FSU should handle Florida as well.

Gators will be highly pumped for this one and embarressed from ULL close debacle, don't bet on this game!

LSU can't be top 4 in Bcs standings even if notre dame loses. The best could be 5

If everyone ahead of us loses like they're projected to, at worst we go to cotton. More than likely, we finish 4th or 5th in the BCS and go to fiesta

There is a very good chance that UGA, Fla, LSU, A&M, and USCe will all be 10-2. One of those teams is going to have to go to the Chick-fil-a bowl. If A&M gets the BCS nod over LSU, then I'm pretty confident we'll be in Dallas for the Cotton. If Fla gets into the BCS, then LSU is going to Atlanta, IMO. Cap One will take UGA and Outback will take USCe. Fla has to lose to keep LSU out of the Chick-fil-a.

College football is so unpredictable. So many scenarios could play out in the next few weeks. If we win out, things will probably work out in our favor. But we could wind up in the NCG or all the way to the Peach Bowl. Just have to see how it all plays out.

Guess what I'm saying is that if Bama and an SEC East team go to BCS bowls, I see Cotton taking A&M over LSU. Two other highly ranked SEC East teams will be available for Outback and Capital One. Putting LSU in Chick-fil-a Bowl.

The SEC has a tie-in to the Gator Bowl. Started last year, IIRC.

The Gator Bowl is the farthest the Tigers will drop in the bowl order.

Question, did not the NCAA change the rule, and now 3 SEC teams can go to a BCS game? or was it just talked about?

It was just being discussed. Primarly as part of the new bowl format begining in 2014.

For 2012 and 2013, only 2 SEC teams can go to BSC Bowls.

The Cotton Bowl is just as prestigious. And is certainly a better venue. It just does not have that shiney "BCS" label.

Texas vs A&M matchup will be MUCH MORE appealing. T

Texas is bitching about it already, so I bet the Cotton bowl bends over for Texas and gives them LSU to play instead of A&M.

If we finish as a top 5 BCS team and dont go to a BCS bowl, thats really messed up.

I'm pretty sure the Chick-fil-a gets to pick before the Gator Bowl.

I would think Cap one before Chicken Bowl, right?

...if they or A&M don't make a BCS game. The Cotton Bowl will take A&M over LSU. They would love to have a Texas vs. A&M matchup. Plus, LSU will be there in September. Capital One and Outback will probably go with Geogia, USC, and Florida. Whichever two don't make a BCS game. Don't be surprised if LSU drops to the Chick fil a Bowl, if they don't make it into a BCS bowl.
did you think of that all by your self or did you feel the need to start a thread and just copy stuff that has been posted here many times before?

well .. if the kansas state and oregon team planes collide in mid air over south bend, and the fallout sets the entire notre dame campus on fire, and the alabama and georgia team buses fly off of bridges on their way to rescue the teams .. then we might get into the game !!!!!!!!!!
