LSU ranks 4th in the SEC in total defense and 6th in total offense.

Maybe, we have had better years.

Maybe, but Jennings different talents opens up some different possibilities that Baylor won't be ready for. Just like the Arkansas game when he entered the game. They can turn him loose because its a nothing to lose situation.

Scary? Not really. Would Baylor score some points? Likely so, but LSU controlled JFF and the Aggies so who says they can't do this with Baylor. One thing is for sure Baylor will not have faced a team with the athletes that LSU has. I think LSU would win somewhere in the area of 44-27. while rushing for 300 plus yards.

This.

Baylor lost their three best players on O in mid season which makes their O very middle of the road now. They can't tackle on D apparently either.

In Waco it might be LSU 31-17 but in a neutral site it would be an LSU blowout.

It also appears their fan base is very Miami ish. Huge turnout locally if wining, non existent on road which would also be to our advantage in a bowl.

It's a relatively meaningless bowl game.

Surely we don't just want teams we are sure we can beat?

I think this is the matchup we would want. First, I have watched them a couple of times on tv. I thought they were great until they played better competition. But, the football world doesnt know yet that they really are not that good. Baylors defence is better than last year but just what the doctor ordered for a new inexperiencd QB. Trust me, we would pound Baylor into submission. This really is the game that we want and will be in front of a big Texas recruiting audience. This thread is making me want Baylor. They sound pretty mediocre.

It would suck playing a team like Baylor. No upside to beating them. Hard to see the team getting up for a game against them. Now a team like Michigan would make for a great bowl game.
