Don't blame Rantards for LSU football problems. Very few people get their impression of LSU football from the rant. They get their impression from watching and hearing TV commentators talk about how our O-Line gets dominated or how the coaches just called a stupid play or made a stupid decision. People don't take time to read newspapers today, much less the rant. They get their sports news from sports TV shows and sports radio shows. The rant is just a place where people vent on info they got from some other source.

I have an idea about this. Miles should pick one ranter a week to be on the sidelines of a game. They have one responsibility - whether it be clock management, calling offense on two series, etc - in that game. If they screw up the clock, don't score on those possessions, etc and LSU loses, then they will be publicly hanged. I think we could weed out a lot of people this way.

No shite. I guarantee you more people watch Sportscenter than read the Rant. You want to stop being a national punchline?

Get rid of the damn problem instead of ignoring it!

No offense, but I think you are way off here. I think it is quite the opposite, actually, at least for the younger demographic.

I agree. If there is a problem with the football team (and we do have problems) then address the damn problem. Don't blame it on message board negativity.

Of course you are going to disagree. I don't think that the majority of people get their info from a message board with 50,029 members (when no telling how much of that number are alters).

I wasn't suggesting that people get their lsu news from this site alone. I am saying that younger people get news more from the Internet than local tv and radio. Either via sites like this, facebook. Twitter, online news sites, etc.

By the way, the number of registered users here is a meaningless stat. We have over 500,000 people a month coming here. 95% are not registered.

Chicken with the BOOM. I was just messing with you. One thing I am fed up with is the stupid alters. I agree with you on the internet feeding more info to the younger generation.

If rantards don't realize that we play a bit of a role in the perception of LSU football y'all are fricking delusional. I imagine most that come on the rant (not all because we have some fricking retards on here) follow the stuff more closely than most of their friends and family. You don't blog about something unless you care about it a whole lot. So you think your sentiment and negative attitude doesn't carry over? You think publications don't have a pulse for these blogs?

Pretty sure Van Pelt is on rivals. I mean, these people read this shite and then they talk about it in a Column. We help form public perception of the program and negative sentiment doesn't exactly lure recruits.

The play of our football team and the coaching of our football team are what form public perception. They don't need ANY help from us.

why would people young or old come to a message board for their college football news? might as well ask a few hundred random people on the street whats going on in the world. but i will say some people get their political news from opinion sections ... but thats just as retarded. maybe read the articles posted by admins....but to take the messages here as gospel?

You find stuff out on message boards quicker than you do watching Sportscenter and the latest from Tiger woods sex problem.
