I hate to say it, I thought that Lafell got over butterfingers, but not really.

Some Gump called into WWL post game show and said it was Miles' fault for spending so much time recruiting a thug and let the QB position go down the drain. Deek shut him up instantly and told him he didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Kinda funny

see, you go back to the talent and experience factor

well, yeaah...it is the most important criteria for being successful. talented guys who 'know' what they're doing tend to business.

you can't have it both ways

I don't go both ways cheif...I go straight ahead and the games I mentioned were games Saban did not prepare well for or let slip through his fingers.

but he is a better coach. i bet most experts would agree with this.

what experts are those, the morons on espn?...the west coast homers at CFN?...the nitwits at fux sports? You want a clue bud?...ask the LSU players of the last four years and I guarantee the vast majority will tell you flat out that Miles is every bit as good a coach as Saban. I like Saban and I don't give a rat's behind that he left LSU...it's called freedom of choice and as he has said on numerous occasions, "it was a mistake." I respect him as a coach, a man and now as a rival. It's all good.

Lee obviously is playing poorly but I don't understand why the coaches have him throwing for a first down on 3rd and 17. That is just asking for trouble.

The pick six was awful.

The McClain interception was a tough one on the blitz hit.

The pick in the endzone was a great jump by Johnson but once again I don't think I would have had him throwing that deep when he's struggling and the team has to come away with 3 points. After the first down carry I think it would have been smart to continue pounding Scott until Bama stopped him instead of getting cute with the Wild Tiger formation.

Lee is playing very poorly but I think if the offense was a bit more conservative it could really help protect him. The LSU O-line is so strong they could pound the ball all day long on almost anyone. The drops by the receivers really have to hurt his confidence even more. Lee obviously has been awful but I really think the coaches could protect him more by playing to the big strengths on offense.

let me ask you this....how much improved will we be next year? we lose a significant potion of our o-line (possibly everybody but barksdale), so now we will have lee with an inexperienced line. you really think we will be that much improved next year?

Not any better IMO.

and if you run the frickin wild tiger, at least give RM someone to hand the ball to or NOT! It will make it harder to defend than just snapping the ball to murphy, and murphy takes off...

Blame LM 4 not playing another QB......i'll go w/ that...the 1 we got is not VG.....

LM didn't play...but he surely didn't give the team its best opp. to win the gm.....

so i vote LES for a poor coaching jb so far this yr, hes the h. coach..he needs to make the correct ajustments in several areas of the gm..he has not done it....but he didn't throw the pics!

i feel bad for the D..they play'd well..but still allowed several long runs..but play'd well enough to win!

Next year LSU will be in much better shape at QB and will win 10 or 11 regular season games again

I would be a bit worried about LSU if Black decides on the NFL. I think the D-line will be able to reload and if they lose a step they could still be solid, especially with more experience in the secondary behind them. Losing the entire O-line would be very tough.

JL looked great coming out of HS. wtf are you talking about?

Lots of people look good coming out of HS - this however - isn't HS. I have seen dozens of QBs coming out of HS that have better form than this guy. He throws off his back foot, and has no accuracy.

Some of his passes are so poorly thrown, I just can't imagine how there is not a single option on the team, that might do better.

I suppose he must be the greatest practice player ever - to justify the continued use.

If the're not, can we bash Miles then without all the belly-aching abut how great a coach he is. He's mis-managed much more this year than the QB situation.

Considering our starting QB got kicked off the team in the offseason, what would your backup plan have been?

Really, this post makes no sense.

I agree. The coach is the ultimate to blame, as he oversees everything. Last year we lucked out and everything set up perfectly for us. Once in a lifetime thing. When you win championships, those things happen. Look at Florida in 06, Spurrier should have won, but Florida blocked not one, but two fgs. If they got one of those, they would have won and Florida would not have been in the bcs game.

Coach is to blame for not playing JJ and leaving Lee in there too long.

Really? Don't we lose a LOT of starters? I think next year maybe a rough one too. I hope not, but IF Lee does not improve, we are starting over with a true freshman (Shep).

Hope I am wrong.
