I thought it was fine. Jump has a nasty repertoire, I’m good with all of it. I had moments of wanting to see knees buckle that he threw fastballs. I’m on board with Yeskie, but I’m also loyal to a fault.

Pitching this year was statistically not much different than last. The difference was that hitting covered up a lot of our pitching deficiencies, whereas statistically our offense was much worse this year. We were #127 in team batting avg this year vs 17th last year. 83rd in on base percentage vs. 4th last year. 51st in slugging vs 5th last year. Pitching statistics on the other hand have not changed all that much, and thats with changing pitching coaches. Imo continuity in pitching coaches by keeping Yeskie will only help things

We will lose pitchers because he is here.

How is that different than any pitching coach anywhere?

I don’t see him getting a HC opportunity but would love if he did.

I said this earlier in the year and was berated. He isn’t a selling point for staying. The Herring video should make sense because the pitchers don’t trust him. Some will go the draft, some will transfer but very few, if any want to work with him again.

So we're going to lose almost every pitcher on the staff?

We will lose more than we should. We were already losing a lot! Moffit is a prime example……would say Herring is almost for sure gone also. It’s not because they don’t love LSU!

LSU should only want continuity if the product is good.
LSU's downfall this year was the depth of pitching staff. We had 3 pitchers that we really had confidence in. Ack when on was good, but way too many times he was just like the others in the bullpen, and couldn't throw strikes.
I'm personally for hoping Yeskie gets hired elsewhere and LSU finds another pitching coach that can teach these big arm kids how to pitch.
Yeskie's pitch calls were infuriating at times. I think he was responsible for Jump's problems with the 7-8-9 hitters against NC in the 9th inning. Any hitter in playoffs can hit a fastball but few at the back of a lineup can hit a good slider. Jump has one and Yeskie called fb's. I think that is why we are sitting at home and NC is still playing. I personally think LSU can do much better.

Yeskie is the 4th in 4 years. But your point stands. It would be great to have some continuity.
This. I'd like for him to return just to see if CJJ needs to work on better hiring of pitching coaches or if it's the turnover causing our pitching woes.

But it is disappointing that Ack just kind of was what he was last regular season, Little only got back to average, Hurd and Guidry went backwards, and you all know the rest.
The only one that was really surprising was Hurd having the struggles that he did. I am not sure how much more you want from Ack sometimes guys have a ceiling and he was still damn effective. A pitching coach isn't going to make guys amazing in one year. Getting little back to average is an accomplishment after where he was last year. I am not sure what was expected in year one.
