When a known 'sharp' puts down a max bet is when the lines really move. Vegas isn't worried about your $1,000 ML bet. Usually they will get a couple max bets in a row from sharps if something is going on

That’s not true at all. They try to get the money evened out on both sides. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1 million dollar bet or a million $1 bets
