Headed to Columbia this weekend. Just curious if the band gets to travel this year?

We don’t have the band at home, we certainly don’t have them on the road

Didn’t realize they weren’t at home either. Oh well, this is gonna be different. Appreciate it!

Tigerband was definitely at the last home game. They’ve split the band in two. So we will have half the band at each home game. There will be no on-field performances. So no pre-game or halftime performances by Tigerband. There are also no away trips for bands this season. Those are SEC HQ mandates.

Interesting. Last I read they weren’t having the Band at home

They announced over summer that they wouldn’t travel

They were there. But they won’t be at any away games. They weren’t at Vandy. In fact, Vandy’s band wasn’t even there. I can expect Tigerband to not be at Mizzou this weekend.

That’s incorrect. They were there. Follow the band on Facebook. They have pictures and videos from the Miss State game.

That is correct. No away games. So I would assume that would include this weekend since it’s no longer in TS.

They were defnitely there vs. MSU. Did you not see the sad shots of them playing their instruments fitted with horn condoms?

SEC rule: home bands OK but not on the field. NO visiting bands.

Did you watch the State game? They showed the band playing

No reason to split the band in half since they will only be performing in the stands at 4 games this season. UGA had their full band at the Auburn game and it definitely helped the atmosphere seem more like a football game. The Moo State game looked and sounded like a scrimmage, at least on TV. When LSU travels to Gainesville next weekend, I bet the Swamp will be at capacity and UF’s full band will be there.

Watched it at a bar in out here with no sound (other TVs had the UT game on) so I wasn’t locked in to it besides during game play

If DeSantis is allowing a full stadium for the Dolphins, why wouldn’t he do the same for UF?

I agree. But that’s what is happening. There’s plenty of space to stretch the band out since capacity is only 25%. But I don’t run things.

Masks for the brass players are such bullshite.

Trombone and trumpet players have a spit key to get rid of the saliva Inside their instruments that projects a considerable amount of spit and air several feet in front of them. It’s basically like sneezing your arse off 30 times a game. But thank god they’re wearing masks.

I'm sure this has already been said or discussed, but what a kick in the nuts for band seniors
