Y’all are just making shite up now. Offensive interference is not that uncommon.

Sometimes, the breaks just go your way. Sometimes they don't.

"In basketball, basket interference is the violation of (a) touching the ball or any part of the basket while the ball is on the rim of the basket, (b) touching the ball when it is within the cylinder extending upwards from the rim, (c) reaching up through the basket from below and touching the ball, whether it is inside or outside the cylinder, or (d) pulling down on the rim of the basket so that it contacts the ball before returning to its original position."

"Violations- Goaltending. (Rule 9-17.5). When the ball contacts the backboard and any part of the ball is above the rim on a field goal attempt, it is considered to
be on its downward flight. In such case, it is oaltending when the ball is touched by a player as long as it has a possibility of entering the basket."

Still good if part of the ball is inside the cylinder? That pic is freeze-frame at the moment he touched the ball.

Ya. Center point outside and it’s good.

Lmao... no. The ball is still over the cylinder. It says nothing about center point of the ball in the rule he posted. It says any part of the ball over the cylinder. Third picture is perfect. Shows exactly where the ball was at. Over the cylinder. So it is interference.

When did "Center point" enter the rule book? Wishful thinking...

And before you start... it doesn't matter if it hit the backboard after he touched it and then went in. Just stop it already.

I guess you missed the defender grabbing the rim right before the ball hit. Goaltending also.

Watch the replay on TD front page.
LINK
What you are seeing there is his follow through pushing the ball back.
When he initiated contact the ball was flying away from the rim and well beyond the rim.

your imagination is getting the best of you.

Neither goaltending nor interference....

The ball never left the cylinder. It doesn’t matter if the ball was flying away from or to the rim. It never left the cylinder. It was inside the cylinder at the moment he touched it. At no time was it outside of the cylinder before he touched it.

If the refs would have not missed the guys hand through the rim with Skys shot on the backboard the offensive goaltending would be a moot point. LSU won the game on Skylars shot not on the tip in, regardless what was or wasn't called.

My favorite part is how all of you come out of the woodworks for basketball rulings. Most of you have no clue what gets called regardless of what the “rule” says. Go back into just this game only and there were at least 1 possession per team that could have been called offensive interference.

Give LSU the credit on this game. They finally played 40:00 of good basketball and most of you are acting like they were gifted the win.

Meh..it depends. A very slow exiting ball, kinda sitting there, will be called. A fast traveling clearly exiting ball is rarely called and they let them play.
Kentucky cant win..because if they review it, they would counr the basket because of the original K interference
