If Chase goes in the first round I think Stingly will sit out.

I agree with this. It’s the short, really well ran routes that get him more than anything. Teams have thrown a lot of back shoulder throws his way this year. Pure speculation on lack of physicality at LOS coming from his complete confidence that he can run with anybody and will play the ball as well as the receiver.

Would be the end of college football as we know it, but we are quickly moving towards that.

Same thing I said 4 days ago and was down voted to hell. Funny how things change in a few days time!

As soon as they "opt out" their scholarship should be pulled.

I don't think these kids care about school. At all.

He will play until the point when/if LSU is eliminated from CFP contention. Full season opt outs will not be the norm but this will in my opinion.

It's all about the new "culture" of college football. It's not about getting an education. It's strictly about getting to the NFL and a paycheck. Take away the tutoring provided by the LSU athletic department and you wouldn't be able to field a team after one semester.
I'm all for the NFL expanding it's practice squad and taking these so called five stars straight out of high school and training them themselves and let the rest be true college players for four years and leave with a degree which is what college is about.

agreed. college football has become purely transactional. it exists solely to provide a path to the nfl.
