When Jones does this people on the rant want him benched....

To answer your original question though, Braswell's defense is WAY better than Reaves

I would start Braswell and if we get behind and need runs then put him in just like we did during the season

He was playing in on 3B I believe and wasn't playing back. I'd have to go back to see but I think he was playing a bun

If he wasn't on the grass he was just off. I remember thinking, why were we playing a bunt?

I think it's a left handed starting pitcher so probably start Braswell. Reaves deserves at bats though. He hit 2 400 foot smashes last night.

Reeves made a very good play on the 3rd out of the 8th. He hit 2 balls harder last night than Braswell has hit in his two years here.
Start Reeves if we get a lead bring in Braswell.

David Hogg should start before Reaves. Probably at least knows situational baseball and where to line up.

No. WVU is small ball and Braswell is better defensively.

Pointing at Reaves being a better hitter is saying he’s the tallest midget. Braswell will be necessary in the field this weekend.

Reaves sucks at 3B but that bouncing ground ball he had no chance of getting to.

It's 100% an out if Reaves (or ANY coach.. come one guys) positions him correctly for that game situation.

I don't know if Braswell's defense is THAT much better

Brasswell has 3 errors in 79 chances.

Reaves has 5 errors in 35 chances.

It is.

Just in case anyone is wondering how big a difference that is:

.963 fielding % for Bras
.875 fielding % for Reaves

You can say it’s too small a sample for Reaves if you want, but he wasn’t a good fielder before he got here either.

For sure these two things - LSU will need it's best defensive lineup in the infield vs West Virginia and Braswell is significantly better defensively. I did like the situational subsitutions last night - Larson batting for Braswell then Reaves coming in defensively. It was earlier in the game and we definitely risked multiple innings of having a significant downgrade on the defensive infield - although it had to be done. Something like that - a situational substution in the 7th or later to get someone like Larson an at bat then Reaves a later at bat would be ok. But - we need our best defensive lineup on the field the majority of the time - especially in the infield - versus this team.

Braswell is better defensively and it gives Jay a way to pinch hit with Larson if need to. It is possible that Braswell could play 4-6 innings defensively and only bat once.

He has nearly double the errors in half the chances. Even if he made 0 errors in his next 35 chances, he would have a worse fielding percentage.

I think braswell starts. The second it looks like we need offense, Reaves is in. Absolutely barreled up two balls last night and can hit with consistency.

Larson probably needs put in a few more spots as well. Has a sweet swing. Hits for power. Hope he doesn't transfer.
