He went out for senior night. I assume he and Aaron Anderson are done.

No. He's had a productive enough year despite seemingly quitting on plays at times. Second round pick probably.

Nope. I have seen him jogging after a ball carrier a half dozen too many times.

For a player who’s so terrible it’s amazing how high he ranks alltime on LSUs TFL and sack list. More sacks than Mingo, Dorsey, Jackson, Alem and Lavalais. More TFLs than Dorsey, Lavalais, Montgomery, Mingo, Nevis, Jackson, Alem, Godcheaux, Key, Brockers etc.. He’s top 5 alltime in TFLs and 11th in sacks at LSU. Pretty good for a guy who just stands around, doing nothing.

Meh...look, Perkins had his few hrs of fame. He was fast and dynamic.
Something happened to him though. It seems he has lost a step and is simply a horrible tackle, especially in open field. He looked more like a liability, than a great player at the end.
And before you say it, it lowers his cake even more if you say....yeah, bit the whole team just kinda quit.

bullshite! Players and leaders play and lead, by example.

He's not good at this point. Maybe an off-season of focused, dedicated rehab and trying helps.

He'll be pushed at the next level. Talent alone has gotten him were he's at now. He'll have to work harder to stay with the big boys.

They run the ball right at Perkins every single time because they know hes going to either over pursue, leave his gap, or just generally gets bullied by guys bigger than him.

They run right at him because he is the very devil in pursuit. But straight up he’s just another dude.

Curious what makes you say that? He has transformed his body over his years here. He could've gone pro but elected to come back and bet on himself to improve his draft stock. And he could have mailed it in when our shot at the playoffs was lost but had some of his best games after BK was fired.

Tdubs7
or is he done?

He appeared done in the 4th qtr of OU game

I could make an argument we lost the game because of his tackling and coverage

Only if he can light a fire under his lazy arse. He needs to quit taking plays off.

I don’t think the “lazy” comments have anything to do with his work during the offseason. I think it’s more that he has shown a tendency to give up on plays if it looks like the ball carrier is going to score or is about to be tackled by someone else.

There was at least one time this year that someone on the broadcast crew called him out for “making a business decision.” But you see it enough that it sticks out regardless.

I think there’s a legitimate criticism about his effort on those plays, but it’s not nearly enough to offset the plays he does make IMO.

It's time for him to move on...sick of seeing his half arse effort routinely during games.

He will never be one to play hard every snap and it has bit us in the arse multiple times.

lol that’s a reach, LSU lost the game because of the offense. The 2 td OU scored had nothing to do with Perkins or any of the LBs

He is pretty good when focused and wants to problem is that hasn’t been close to 100% of the time. And please don’t put him in coverage, please.
