Yeah, but shite seems to happen to O an awful lot.

I mean he has to understand that this doesn't look good on him? Right?
Is Joe letting this happen to get Aranda in the driver seat sooner?
The way his contract is set up, why should O care? If I remember correctly, I think his buyout equals the amount remaining under a multi-year deal that he would be paid if he worked the full term.
If that's correct, what happens if he is fired? He collects the same amount. I'm not sure if he gets it all right away or over time but the important point is he gets that money no matter what he does short of getting fired for cause.
The key is knowing what, under the contract, would constitute getting fired "for cause" and what whether there is any stipulated penalty.
Knowing O's personality and his history, he probably doesn't care if something "doesn't look good on him."
I'm just speculating, but O may have simply dug in and his playing hardball to simply promote his friend while going through the motions enough to make it difficult to fire him "for cause."

who said he was a nobody?
You did. You said "when Saban lost to a mid major, he was a no one."
Hard to believe you wouldn't remember posting that.

so that excuses O because saban did as well. Miles would have been crucified. the goalposts continue to move for ole O
yes, and Ole coach O was crucified for it as was Saben and was Miles. But then after, you move on from it. Just like the team did , the coaching staff did , coach O did, Saben did, Miles did, every other coach that it happens to did, (when it happened to them,), and 99% of the fan base did. Only these tards on this forum want to linger on it like it never happens to any one else,.

I 'm secure enough not to feel I have to bother going back to correct all my misspellings, miss typings, or punctuation eras. I just don't care enough to do all that.

Well you join the Dumb As F group. So bc I say he lost to a mid major, mean s I think he sucks? If I thought he sucked I would say it. If you read the context, Saban wasn't a great coach at the time he lost to a mid major. He wasn't what he is now, or what he became at LSU. Not a lot of people were beating down his door before he came here. But you take out of it what you want. I know what I meant. I also meant that you are dumb as f

Cool. You can wow your minimum wage colleagues with your tales of your high school sports exploits.

I had reservations after the BYU game about how his offense would work out. When we didn't shred them, I was concerned.

Your answer is correct and makes too much sense for the idiots that post all the negativity. Wishing the HC failure is no true Tiger Fan at all and I hope they are just trollers.

If LSU wins the west next year then good for him. I'll give him his due, but this man is not likely to have anything that most of the LSU faithful would consider 'success'. I am on record now saying that he will never win the SEC as LSU HC. Mark it down.
i wasnt counting you as one of those posters

This year wasn't close to a failure, especially with what we had to endure as a team
the only thing this team endured was unqualified head coaching.

Coach O plans on kicking arse in the very near future
oh no one doubts he wants to win. he doesnt have the skills to achieve it. the highlight of his head coaching career is beating a 4 loss auburn team.

He recognized a problem and handled it promptly
if he had recognized the problem he wouldve went to the lsu president and made him fire alleva and then he would resign. so no he didnt recognize the problem because alleva and 0 are still at lsu.

What is your football background?
MY RESUME....
having run a successful offense or defense as many times as Ed Orgeron
and
having 1 less year running a mediocre program than Ed Orgeron
having run as many successful programs as ed orgeron.

I would bet the most of those that are whining and bitching about Coach O are the same ones that were whining bitching about Coach miles. The same ones that bitched about Jordan Jefferson and thought Lee and Shepherd were great misused talents, are all the same ones bitching about Coach O

Did I say that? At no point Did I say said that. But that's cute that you wanted to jump in and be wrong. He wants to bash O for losing when others did as well. That's the point. Why not be consistent?
Because when Nick Saban lost to UAB his career wasnt built upon being tge wprst coach ever at a program full of bad tenures.
Ed Orgeron's head coaching career is built upon bad losses.
the fact that you people cant understand that is amazing
