Does Moffit go against the loser of MSU/Vandy.

God I hope we lose.
I don't want to use arms we need next week this weekend.

One more win 110% ensures that we are hosting a regional, and gives us a good chance of not being matched up with UCLA/Vandy’s Super.
They’re going to be fine with a week off.

So Moffit starts, who can we bring in our the bullpen later?

Will Henry be available for Saturday?

I'd like to know who downvoted you for asking this question. A quick look at the available (not injured) pitchers on the roster, who has pitched this week, and how many pitches they have thrown, tells me that Moffitt is the only guy available for tomorrow who has any experience starting any kind of game at the collegiate level, and who has been extended before. He's also pitched admirably well this year, whereas the others who are available really haven't, yet.

I think Costello is the second best we have left, Georgr can give us another inning or two, and hopefully Ripoll can go at least 2. This will leave us with no one to pitch on sat except maybe the guys who threw Tuesday. I’m not sure I would want to throw any of them extended innings though.

We’re going to be piecing pitching together tomorrow pretty bad. One day at a time I reckon. I hope we make it to Sunday ????

If we somehow made it to Sunday, there would be a pretty good johnny wholestaff available. I'd feel good about it. The problem is, if we get through tomorrow, I can't imagine what we're going to do on Saturday. There are guys who could theoretically be brought back, but it wouldn't be wise, ahead of regionals, to bring them back before Sunday, imo, and that would also mean that they would then be unavailable for Sunday.

The mantra is normally "one game at a time", but in this case you're also thinking about regionals, so you can't get desperate and rush guys back. With all that in mind, I'm really having a hard time even seeing enough bodies in the pen to get past Saturday. Moffitt would just about have to throw a complete game, because I don't think anyone else can be extended very long.

As much as it sucks to say, it would be better for LSU to lose tomorrow. I can't possibly root for it to happen, and I'll be excited if they win, but I don't want extra stress on an already depleated staff.

Like i was saying in my above post, I don't see the guys who have had extended use this week being brought back before Sunday. If we made it that far, they could all go for a short time, and I don't think that would be a problem with plenty of off time to follow. So I don't think we need to worry about extra stress. It's simply a matter of can Moffit go deep tomorrow, leaving enough available guys for Saturday (if we win), and can those available guys, who will all be low leverage/seldom used pitchers, get us through Saturday.

If they can, great. But it seems highly unlikely, and I don't think Mainieri is going to be dumb and rush anybody back to try to win this tourney.

Just listened to Jacques Doucets video on fb just now. Henry won’t pitch again until Sunday if he pitches at all. I don’t think we’ll make it to Saturday.

Only an idiot would say this. Play to win. Always.,we need confidence. You never play a game to lose. You are so stupid
