Reminds me of Bert Jones. Not as mobile but the arms are both comparable

I'm a little too young to remember Hodson, did he have a big arm?

I wouldn't describe Ensminger as "terrible." That's just being uninformed, uneducated, and obviously not in your era of LSU football. Check the record books you moron and maybe drag up some old film of LSU games from mid-70's. Mett is getting better and his progression from last season could put him in the record books for best 1 year season as QB in LSU history. Helps to have Landry and ODBJr. and others for receivers along w offensive line that so far is protecting very, very well.

Mett looks like a pro QB. It's almost like Cam cast a spell on him.

People saying Hodson are clueless I love tommy but he couldn't make half the throws Mett is making.. Mallet-Flacco much closer.

It's amazing how much better a guy looks when his offensive line is outstanding. With that being said I like the Mallet comparison.

Hodson is the closest, but Mett is his own guy. I don't think his style of throwing, size, leadership and on-field presence compares really well with any former Tiger Qb ever.
Mett = Mett = strong LSU QB.
Mett = Mett = strong LSU QB.

Hodson. Definitely Hodson, who at times was freaking great.

Metts arm is somewhere between Hodson and Jones. I really can't think of another LSU QB I thought was similar.

Bert Jones, both tall and big arms,, Mett even looks physically like him facially if you compare pictures!

quote:I guess attending games, watching the occasional telecast (so few were on TV back then) and listening to every game on WWL during that era doesn't count. The two QB system with David Woodley used to drive me nuts.

He reminds me of Dan Marino and Tom Brady, and maybe just a smidge of pre-prison Michael Vick.
Except better
