Seats were their first. We chose Gold/yellow as one of our primary colors for that reason.

Ain't gonna be no empty seats next home game you can book it.

I'm going to agree with you.
Watching the game, whenever they showed close ups of the crowd, I noted a lot of empty seats.
Remembering when I used to attend games regularly, a big game like this would have had almost no empty seats.
I don't know about the 'gold game' thing, but data certainly supports the idea that LSU doesn't pack the stadium and that a significant number of ticket holders miss every game -- some games more than others.
What's really sad is the way that numerous posters here are calling you names because you post facts they don't like.
It's a disease in America now. Ignore the facts you don;t like, pretend everything is great, then viciously attack anyone who dares point out FACTS.
It's not unique to LSU at all.
But it is disappointing as hell to see so many here who would rather use ad-hominem arguments (did you ad=hom-ers even graduate from the Ole War Skule? doubt it -- if you did maybe you majored in fratstar-party-get-copies-of-the-old exams curriculum -- )
than debate the fact of the matter, which indicate that LSU does count actual bodies in the seats, that those numbers are declining.
Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it isn't true - my kids learned to accept this truism by age 5.
What's up rantards?

Everyone in my section was standing and going ape shite the entire game. Do those count towards your empty seat calculations?
Were you there? That place was rockin from begjnning to end. I felt like i had just hit puberty again the way my voice was cracking at work the next day because i was so hoarse

I have no problem with people choosing not to go to the games, but, for God's sake, GIVE EM TO SOMEBODY that wants to go. There are so many that can't afford to buy tickets that would be very grateful to go to a game. For the SC game, there was probably a bunch of fair weather ticket holders that thought we were going to get blown out, I think.
I hope people won't sell their tickets to the assholes two states east of us in two weeks, TS needs to be in rare form that night.

Were any of you people at the game AND not in the Student Section? If you can answer yes to both questions then surely you know what I'm talking about.
I was there. Not in the Student Section.....all available LSU seats were PACKED!! The only place I saw some empty seets wre in the South Carolina section of the East Upper.

There will be plenty if LSU loses to A&M this weekend.

What was the official attendance?
Posted on 10/16/12 at 10:47 am to bigeztiger
I don't know the official number, but I do know from the eye test when I looked at the stadium out of curiosity on the opening kickoff, I didn't see many open seats minus a few sections in the upper decks. Hell, even the suites were jampacked full.

It is my fervent and extreme hope that Nov. 3 makes '59 Ole Miss, '79 USC, and '07 Florida sound like a silent flea fart on the mute asshairs of Helen Keller's dog in the basement of the Nicholson Library during a Sign Language workshop........
