With an 11 am kickoff, LSU would want to be flying over on Friday morning.

Let's just hope that front that is coming across the plains comes through at the right time and pushes this storm out into the Atlantic

I'm really starting to think that it's going to his Florida going up the east coast. This being an early game has the storm hitting central Florida within about 12 hours of the game. There is no way they can play the game is Gainesville is in the cone.

It's the projected 8"-12" of rain that has me concerned.

The powers that be, need to be on the phones telling florida that we need to figure something out on this game ASAP. It can possible hit florida on friday and thats when we fly in screw that.

No that won't happen. The storm isn't close enough to Gainesville

LSU has to have 72 hrs notice to get stadium, security, concessions prepared. Wednesday noon deadline. Tomorrow should be interesting especially if it tracks 25-30 miles more to the west...

Does Hurricane Matthew send this game to Tiger Stadium?

No, unless a major change in the steering currents. Should be well out of the way by Saturday game time according to Weather channel. Calling for Mostly sunny skies and onlly 10 per cent chance of precipitation at game time. Think everything is safe as of now.

fitting that we'd have bad weather during lsu vs uf. i mean, what else are those two teams supposed to play in?

I may not know much, but I DO know this.....Matthew stacked, Bahamas about to be fricked.
ETA: Haiti also fricked.

Rain will probably be done by Friday evening
This means nothing. Matthew is forecast to a Major Hurricane off the Fla coast Friday afternoon at the Jacksonville latitude. That could trigger massive evacuations even if it does not actually move ashore there. Also every Tom, Dick, and Harry Emergency Responder will be on alert status at some predetermined Ops center...
This will get some serious attention by Wed for sure.

Looks to me like it's going to be running up my driveway around Saturday. Great.

I'm staying out in the Atlantic. Good luck.

Well, I remember a storm in 2005 right off the tip of Florida that came a lot farther west then predicted!
I realize different storms, different conditions, but the one thing that you can probably count on is that none of those >48 hours spots will actually be where the eye/center ends up. If it jogs West, before the front can push it, watch out.

Well look at each every model, it's not supposed to hit land in or near Florida. So you can be sarcastic all you want. Look at the models and you will see you are just talking shite for no reason

I was set to go to the game in Columbia last year, but the flooding moved it to Baton Rouge. I am set to go to the Florida game this year, Matthew can go screw himself.

As others have pointed out, I hope you're joking. It's a freaking category 4 hurricane not a strong thunderstorm.
If the current models hold, this game will be moved or cancelled by Wednesday. No way they have people travel into a hurricane warning zone with an impending major hurricane due to hit the day before the game. Hurricanes slow down or stall by 12 hours all the time.
