They should move it to ATL and be done with it

They aren't going to move the game to a place where no one would go. Even if Tiger Stadium only has 60,000 people there, that's probably double what would show up in Atlanta.

We did a short notice day game last year and got 41k. I don't see how it's different this year, even if it is Florida vs. SC. No way 60k show up

They'll get 55-60k.

Florida is ranked, and LSU fan base is rejuvenated under Coach O.

that's exactly right. the "game time forecast" isn't what is the problem. it's LSU being able to fly in to the area on Friday morning, when there will likely be tropical storm force winds or greater.

LSU is not going to fly there any later on Friday, since the game is so early on Saturday. It'll throw off their whole routine. And they wouldn't go on Thursday, and jeopardize having the team there in a hurricane and losing power at the hotel and not being able to get out.

UF plays at home next weekend too. Matthew may still be an issue...

If it did wouldn’t it be pretty easy for the SEC to make 2017 a Florida home game? It's an annual and not a rotation game- just make 2017 and 2018 home games for Florida and then go back to the normal home and home pattern.

Not sure about that. No disrespect intended.

We had to play for weeks with no bye week at all after Katrina. It's just one of those things.

We had to go to Arizona State for our "home game." It still hasn't been returned. And that's ok. It's just the way things work out sometimes.

It's just one of those things, can't blame it on anyone. It just happens sometimes.

Good morning my tiger friends! Living in St Augustine, the first thing I see this morning is Matthew has slowed down. It will be parallel to us Friday night about 8pm now with hurricane force winds extending to almost palatka.

IMO, no way this game is played in Gainesville. Evacuations could be called starting this afternoon.

Prayers for everyone here in east coast of FL

If they don't then they are blind and both teams will lose because of it by not playing

it's a nightmare for sure especially now the models are slowing it down it seems. You would think it would be an easy call to move it but i guess not.

When did they make final decision to move the South Carolina game? Wasn't it on Wednesday before game?

Well, they are idiots if they don't move it!!! On the other hand, as bad as its going to get here, I probably won't be able to see the game. So let me give a BIG GEAUX TIGAHS!

Yep it was made on the wed at noon after they had another conference call. They really have no choice I just looked at the weather for Gainesville on fri. 100%chance of rain. Up to 10 to 12 inches and 40-50 mph starting fri morning and increasing. Simple choice. Lsu will not fly into that situation.

Agreed. I thought it was a legit possibility on Monday evening everything I've seen since then has pointed in that direction. Sucks for everyone involved.

Hanagriff says the drop dead time to move is 3pm today. A decision must be made by then.
