Absolutely 100% do NOT touch Edwards

Edwards is way to valuable out of the bullpen to not use him. I would expect Little, Herring, Dutton, and Cooper to be arms likely used Sunday. I think you go in with a plan to win the first two games of the series and the piece together game 3 depending on how the first two games of the series takes place. But Little, Herring, Dutton, and Cooper are most likely the arms going to be used Sunday to piece together innings.

Until Hurd develops and gains confidence to be that 3rd starter we're going to have a Johnny Wholestaff approach. Edwards is far too valuable out of the bullpen and you need arms to count on out of the bullpen. With the injury to Shores that trust is limited now.

you cannot just stop throwing Hurd out there

That's what midweek is for until he figures out how to put together a clean inning.

Him not making it past 2 or 3 innings on a Sunday when our already thin bullpen is worn down doesn't help anyone.

There won’t be a game three unless they double up on Thursday.

100%. Wasn't talking to start Sunday. Just saying you have to keep putting him on the bump to work out of whatever mechanical issues or mental issues he has. Need him to have it figured out by the end of the year.

If you have to use Herring to close out a game or get some tough outs, you must use him. The bullpen is too thin to hold guys back for a potential game 3 start.

I'd focus on winning games 1 and 2, then throw whatever I have left in game 3.

I completely agree. You can’t hold anybody back to start game 3 if you need them to close out Games 1 or 2. Go all out to win those, and figure out Game 3 when you get there.

Probably but now the bullpen is minus shores and herring
but you gained Hurd in the BP... johnson is working on getting more reliable arms there.. but herring is going to thrive. coleman will be back in 3 weeks

Is Blake Money done for? It is amazing how much we have grown when the Friday Night Starter at the beginning of last year can't fid he field.

I’m not prepared to assume he will give us any meaningful innings this year
