Does ESPN step in?

Seems like they have a vested interest in the league and the university athletics. LSU is a big TV draw.
Can they step in and tell Sankey to "cool it?"
It is one of the biggest draws when LSU plays Florida, Alabama, and Texas.
My friend, a Bull Gator season ticket holder, can pay for his season tickets by selling his 4 for the LSU games.
Next to FSU, the Florida fans I know pick this one over Miami, Georgia, and Tennessee any year.

Rousse said it was moot, have not heard from the SEC. Do you have a link to the SEC current position? Have they posted an official response?

I know the talking heads get to say whatever they want for the most part. But they were pretty much a united front on how they were talking about the LSU vs SEC situation.
I think the writing is on the wall on how ESPN feels about it.

And that’s a wrap. Sankey needs to crawl away if he wants to keep his seat.

possibly already did.....
removal of LSU could trigger renegotiation on the tv deals because they aren't getting the package they signed up for. Not that they care about LSU, but if it could save them a couple million bucks as they're hemorrhaging cash from all the media rights deals, I'm sure they would
You're talking losing money there, legal battle vs LSU, and then legal battles/buyouts to replace LSU. That's a big hit to the bottom line just to try and nail Lane for going 2 miles an hour above the speed limit

There's no link obviously. It seems like temperatures have cooled and this will be settled behind closed doors based on what's being put out to the media.

Because what they get from this drama is minimal compared to the actual product that the dumbass SEC would be damaging.
