How many times does this have to be explained to you. They changed it for postseason play. They've stuck to a normal rotation in postseason play for the past month. They're not pitching off.
If Shores was a day 1 guy for LSU but then they moved him to day 3 and then permanently to the bullpen like he is right now would you call that pitching off? No, you would not because it would be like this for half the season. Obviously he wasn't our day 1 guy it's just an example. This is their normal rotation now. If they switch pitchers around on the days, then it would be pitching off from their normal rotation. It's a simple concept.

Except that he absolutely did not pitch game 1 multiple times during the season. That means he is not "their game 1 guy". That means he is one of their game 1 guys. The other guy (Flukey) is ALSO one of their game 1 guys. So in the opener they pitched a game 1 guy. That is not pitching off.
If Flukey were not already pitching game 1 before the regionals started, then that would have been pitching off. Not starting your best pitcher game 1 =/= "pitching off".
