Never did apply. It was purely a media invention designed to make calculated risks seem to be undisciplined gambling. ESPN is way too powerful relative to it's journalistic integrity.

As already stated go back and watch last year's Bama game. Those are good examples of when trick plays don't work.
He only became famous for his 4th down attempts and trick plays because he was having a lot of success.

YES!!!! Crowton was a genius at LSU.. Its funny how ppl forget what Crowton did for the LSU offense.. Do you guys know how many school records the offense broke under Crowton? To many to count but Ole Lester had to butt in.. ppg w/o Crowton vs bama 5.3 ppg, with Crowton Lsu ppg vs bama 25.3 ppg.. now lets just hope lester lets cam do his job..
