Blake will have millions of reasons to leave$$$$$ and watching LSU'S offense he probably realizes that he isn't winning a natty at LSU.

You must not know what he makes here... like $3.0 mil/yr. That eliminates 75% of the teams that need a HC. He could possibly take a HCIW spot with LSU as BK could retire soon if he wins a NC or reaches the end of this contract that would put him at 70.

Hold on, you can’t just keep saying “muh context” and not using context for the other side of the argument. That isn’t context, that’s misrepresenting the term to disguise bias.

I hope it’s not crazy, shoot doughboy a text to make sure. That would be my plan. If CBK doesn’t do extraordinary in the next 2 years he’s gone and Blake would be at home with family making north of 9mill.

I said context specifically to point per game

What are you even arguing against?

Baker’s wife really wanted to get back to Mandeville. He may not be gone this year.

I think Blake Baker will be LSU’s next head coach. He’s gonna hang around.

Blake Baker will be our next head coach when CBK decides to retire.

Because we have multiple examples and probably tons more at other places where you had loaded defenses with talent that were poor. Saying that Baker is replaceable or more replaceable without delving into the context of why he’s good and why we took a big jump schematically is wrong.

I believe defensive success is largely based on talent. Good coaches can elevate it and bad coaches can drag it down, but there isn’t ever a good defense with bad talent. That’s my opinion.

I don’t disagree with that but if you look at some of the schematic changes he’s made this season, they’re at the forefront of defensive philosophy universally in football. So this is a guy that’s gonna be very successful in the future, you don’t replace guys like that easily.

Have elite talent on defense and you’ll be ok.

What’s “OK” mean to you?

And, why does that not work on offense?

I have been watching but this offense is god awful and if our defense doesn't score we will eventually lose to a better team that scores more than twenty points.

Maybe but what's the point of borrowing trouble from tomorrow?

This board melted about the baseball team all year, muh fire Jay, fire the hitting coach, fire "Yeski", muh we only have 4 pitchers, muh we won't get out of our regional.

We won a natty.

This offense has a lot of new starters at key positions, maybe give it some time to come together before freaking out.

Somewhat agree, we won the game by 2 scores but there are problems that aren’t related to personnel.

Sure.

It's just an example of folks like you melting about things you have zero clue about.

We hired new DC's in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024 before finding one who didn't suck...yeah I'd say he's pretty irreplaceable.

Different head coach making the first two and House didn't really suck his first season.

House was an okay X's and O's guy IMO, he just didn't fit with the roster. He was a pro coach and his style didn't work with less mature players. We had more senior leadership in 2022.

I’m not melting and the fact that you’ve already gone into false accusations proves your logic doesn’t stand up to scrutiny at all. I didn’t make any absolute statements I just said there are some issues on offense. The flip side of your argument would be “ as long as we have 5INTs per game we’ll win”. Which is also illogical.
