I doubt it’s how LSU convinced her to come, but maybe it’s why Woodward felt comfortable throwing g a gazzillion dollars at her.

If the women's basketball coach at Baylor knew this was coming we would all know. There's no way reporters wouldn't have gotten wind of this if the non revenue coaches all knew. I bet this was basically between the Presidents, ADs, and more than likely the head football coaches.
This was kept as close to the vest as possible.
Mulkey is one, Jim Schlossnagle is another (TCU baseball coach). Hopping from TCU to A&M seemed like a lateral move a few months ago. Now, at the very least, it's a very fortunate coincidence.

laughable that anyone on here thinks that a coach of any womens'/non-money making sport factors into any of this "super conference" expansion plan, Schlossnagle and TCU was a mutual parting of the ways, according to my TCU sauces, if he hadn't found that job he probably would have been asked to leave, he can't keep fricking around with the co-eds, was asked to at least tone it down and apparently he is as big of an ego maniac as most coaches are and basically told them to frick off

Kim wanted to come home and finish her illustrious career while living close to her momma. Nothing else factored in the decision. The challenge of turning LSU into a national power again and possibly adding a national championship was just icing on the cake.

Her mother lives right down I 12 and she is getting up in age! Kim wanted to be near her mother plus she loves LSU

A baseball coach, or a women's basketball coach, can make big money at a school that's getting stupid big TV money. That's why Vandy can pay Corbin what it does.
If the Big 12 loses Oklahoma and Texas, that conference becomes a mid-major, and will get mid-major TV money. Coaches of teams that don't make money will not get big contracts, even if they win.
It's not a CAUSE of Oklahoma and Texas leaving the Big 12, it's a BYPRODUCT of that.

Kramer's mom is home, that's what matters.

Fair enough. Women's athletics is mostly a waste of effort.

Woodward could have sold her on it as I know he knew about OU and Texas
Then why make her the highest paid wbb coach in the nation? My gut feeling is the 2.5 mil salary was the catalyst.
