I cant dispute that LSU .....

LSU wasn't the only party mentioned in your original comment that I quoted. But if we're talking strictly about LSU officials I'll gladly stand by my comment about not giving a shite (could be a little extreme but they probably don't care how bad he gets in baseball as long as he isn't making a fool out of himself during football or basketball broadcasts which are more important), and I'll also add that maybe they can't do anything about it even if they wanted to.

He isn't good and I'm not the only one that says it. I don't care if "most people enjoy him", because many people either don't care or don't know what kind of job he does.

There you go with a bunch of blanket assumptions again. I've never claimed to know it all. I'm not a clown. I don't listen to every word out of his mouth, especially when there is another alternative. I post it for discussion sake.

What factual information have you given in this post. None

It is a fact that Hawthorne makes mistakes. When we point them out and post them then people like you get all pissy and say things like I quoted above .... "listen to every fricking word out of your mouth, pick out the mistakes"

You managed to get one right.

Awesome. Still insecure about your stance on the issue at hand and can't discuss it using any sort of logic so you resort to this type of thing again.

Jim's not very good but you have to admit he is entertaining. At least he does know that a ball that hits the plate after being hit by the batter isn't automatically a foul ball. These idiots today obviously don't know it. I believe it was Gibbs at the plate who hit a chopper that hit the plate and was fielded by the catcher in foul territory making it a foul ball. One of the idiots said it hit the plate. The other said the catcher fielded it in foul territory so it was a foul ball. The other guy said it made no difference because it was already foul. Pretty bad. JH makes a lot of mistakes but for the most part he does at least know the rules.

I too think that JH is bad. Can't I voice that opinion without being called names?

Whatever floats your boat, but if the best you got to do today is come on a board and repeatly say "JH is bad", you need to think more about yourself and less about JH.

Then you obviously don't know many women, which isn't really that big of a surprise.

My favorite JH line was the first pitch of the game: "Mahtook takes strike one right down the middle."

"Wait that was ball one, just missed on the outside corner."

I'm not so sure about that. I've heard him say numerous times over the years "..and it's fouled off the plate". Maybe he does know and he just didn't want to explain where the ball was fielded.

He knows the extreme basics, I can give him that, but not much else.

This wasn't directed at me but a similar comment earlier was, so I'm going to go ahead and address it anyway...

It wasn't the best or only thing I had to do today. It happened to be a topic I replied to when I logged on to TD. If the best you have to do today is worry about what I say about JH in my spare time, then you need to think more about yourself and less about me.

See how easy it is to turn that around?

Damn, that's shocking and unforgivable. You think we need to wash his mouth out with soap?

You get some kind of charge out of pointing out the mistakes of others? Doesn't that make you special.

Hear's an idea. Since Jim bothers you so much, don't listen to him. In the world today, you can keep up with the game many others ways. In that way, you are happy not to hear him and everyone else is happy not to hear you bitching about him

unfortunately as LSU fans sometimes we are forced to listen to him if we wanna hear the game. i do tune into oppossing announcers whenever possible tho. thx

as fans and supporters of the program and university why should we have to put up w/mediocrity or be forced to tune out?

(here comes the "you couldnt do any better arguement...")

28-2 I think. Skip pulled Thompson early (perhaps after the great catch/grand slam) and he pitched the next day and we won.

Nice try, but why change the subject?

No, not really.

Yeah, it probably does.

I'm an LSU fan and will never skip a game because Hawthorne is terrible. When I can make it to the game I do not listen to him. When I can watch on TV I do not listen to him. When I can watch the game on the internet through some other broadcast I do not listen to him.

But sometimes we are forced to listen to him if we want to follow the game. If he does a poor job while I'm forced to listen to him and I'm already sitting at the computer anyway, I may go ahead and make some comments about it if I feel like it.

Correct, and I think the only two runs may have been on a pair of Larson HRs, but I'm not positive.

You are not forced to do anything. It's your choice. Why should I be forced to read post from guys bitching about something you choose to subject yourself to out of your own free will? Wait....I don't have to read anymore of this mickey mouse bitching if I don't want to and I don't.

You guys have a good night and GREATTTTTTTT win Tigers!!

But you do want to and that is what makes it so funny, especially considering your comment about us spending so much time posting about Hawthorne. In reality you spend as much, or more, time posting about us posting about Hawthorne.

Would you guys like to have Kent Lowe doing the LSU broadcasting ? WTF doesn't Charlie Hanagriff ever go to these away games (excpt for Omaha) ? I feel sorry for Hawthorne. When I was a kid, I looked up to him. He needs to see a doctor...seriously. I am really concerned about him. Maybe he is trying to reach his retirement age. I know firsthand that he is 66 years old. Just not sure if he is feeling well.
