Does anyone remember a year where injuries were this prevalent?

My LSU fandom began in 2007 and I don’t remember anything like this.

Has there ever been a year where we lost this many contributing players?

These soft practices are really paying off preventing injuries

Had a feeling that sentiment would come up. Stingley is questionable but by all accounts the others are actually injured. I mean what benefit would Joe Evans have of opting out?

Anthony and Gaye are both obviously hurt or they’d be trying to improve their stock. Ricks has a history of labrum injuries and isn’t draft eligible. Boutte is obviously hurt.

Is it really injuries? I don’t blame anyone if it isn’t.

Much like the phantom injuries to slow down hurry up offenses, we’ll never know if they’re legit

Redshirt rules changed a couple of years back if you remember. That's no doubt playing into this.

Most players are dealing with something, so they don't have to make up fake injuries. It's just whether or not they want to play through it, and can they function.

New norm with teams who have no chance at any real bowl games. Kids don’t want to be injured for no reason and lose money in NFL because of it.

Why does it seem every year we , As LSU fans, are always asking “has their been another year with some many injuries/opt outs”. It’s like GroundHog day.

They are quitting. Not saying they are all faking. But I would bet some are.

I think the more no contact practices are partly the issue. Fighters have to maintain some form of contact when training so they can handle it better later and a lot of professional athletes do it too.

I’m not calling for the perpetual big cat drills, but if they are frequently practicing soft, that may be a reason.

I have followed the Tigers since 1957 and cannot remember a rash of injuries this severe........nothing even close to what has happened this season.
