Jimbo is to Jameis Winston what Dan Mullen is to Dak Prescott. The guy hit the lottery on a freakishly talented quartback and rode the wave to acclaim, but after the Jameis and Daks of the world go to pro you see what the coach is really made of.

Exactly. How many playoffs was FSU in without Winston? How did JF handle Winston while he was at FSU.

The fact that Saban sent Kiffin to learn about new wrinkles in the passing game from Herman and his staff this summer should inform us as to whom Saban believes is on the cutting edge of the modern offensive game.

If I had to judge right now, I would say Herman. I think Jimbo is the safest hire overall, though.

None will beat Saban unless they recruit and coach a higher level OLine.

Trying to beat Bama on the line of scrimmage may prove to be difficult. We were close in 2011, but even then Bama was better. It may take a strong o/d line and some offensive scheming to beat him.

lets be honest here... not much can be worse than the product that Les Miles was putting on the field at the beginning of this season

Honestly, I don't think Jimbo would have done better against Saban. Saban is the master......period. Success breeds success. Coaches like Saban come along ever so often and dominate. Bear Bryant was another. They build dynasty. We have to give credit where credit is due. Then try to learn from them.

Having said that, I am immensely proud of the way our Tigahs played against Bama. Although they weren't able to score any points, they held Bama to just 10 points. Against a juggernaut like Bama, that's saying a lot. You do realize had Etling made a couple of key passes, and/or had the OL made a key block (or two, or three) freeing Fournette (or Guice) this sucka would have turned out better for us. Hope springs eternal!! I thought Coach Orgeron prepared LSU well. Bottom line.....when you play a Saban coached team, you had better have your "A" game ready.

Geaux Tigahs!

Herman has a better chance than Jimbo.

Orgeron will never beat Saban

And you would have no credibility. Wtf is wrong with your hero fisher the last 2 yyears? He has by far more talent than anyone in his conference, yet only did anything when he had crab legs. Hallman comes to mind...chiczk comes to mind. Great coached don't lose by 40 and 50 points, especially when they have the most talent.

I don't think Jimbo can beat Saban with any consistency. I'm thinking a win every 3 games or so. Herman might actually be better in this regard.
