Does anyone blame the defense for the loss?

I thought they played well enough to win last night, Offense lost the game.

But now I'm hearing people say defense didn't give offense enough opportunities?

I understand it's bend don't break. Any stats that back me up?

Any time you hold a team to less than 20 points, that's a successful defensive outing.

How many more 3-and-outs and stalled drives did LSU need to have for critics to agree that they DID have enough opportunities?

The defense gave up 18 points and zero touchdowns. You tell us...

Not me. I'm not qualified to really have an opinion BUT that goal line stand was a thing of beauty.

Have a guy telling me that Auburn shouldn't have scored 20 on us anyway. Terrible logic Pretty obvious that it's not the problem.

I would have liked them to play better, but overall the defense wasn't the problem. We should be able to score more than 18 points in conference play.

It is terrible logic. If your defense holds the other team to less than 20 points, that means all the offense has to do is average 5 points per quarter. That should not be too much to ask.

If not for the defense that game could have easily been a blowout.

People do, but it's bullshite. They didn't allow a single touchdown. Some big plays that can get cleaned up, but they also made some incredible plays and super impressive stops. If you have a serious problem with the defense last night then you are expecting perfection and anything less than an all time great defense is disappointing to you.

Defense not the problem. Especially after crappy punting and midfield field position multiple times. This comes down to poor play calling and poor clock management.

This is what I was saying. Can't argue with some fans. They'll never be happy.

I enjoyed the defense, and hopefully the team will be enjoyable to watch after certain changes are made.

Clock mismanagement, missed reads, turnovers regardless if they set up an Auburn score or not, and penalties are the reason for losing.

All those things fall on coaching minus the fumbles.

Discipline, preparation, and coaching. It lacked and has lacked.

The loss isn't on the defense, but it was kind of disappointing to see Auburn's offense consistently get into the red zone.

They played well enough, but they're not the havoc creating nightmare we were led to expect from Aranda.

Some issues with tackling and effort. Outside of that, no.
