the guy who thinks Chad is slow didn't see Chad come from totally out of the picture fame and knock the ball away at the gl vs BAma.
And he didn't see Chad come in and bitch slap him and leave before the turd eater could turn around.
Salt and pepper nice burn

quote:
Please don't compare Taylor Mays or Roy Williams to Chad Jones.
Why not? Go back to your original question--Does anybody think that Chad Jones is a (correct word is an) oversized safety?
If you don't think Mays or Williams were oversized, why should we think CJ is oversized?
quote:
Tayor mays is a freak with no body fat and ran a 4.3 forty before, its not natural.
You do realize that CJ was rated the #1 safety IN THE COUNTRY when he came out of HS, right? At 6'3", 222 lb. with great speed & athleticism, he could also be considered freakish.
quote:
even he never really has to play man in USC def. and when he does he has problems, always a step late but will bring a death blow when he arrives.
Go back & watch the first half of the GT game where CJ comes out of nowhere to knock a sure TD catch from the receiver's hand, then tell me he's a step slow.
quote:
And Roy williams was a pro bowler who ran a 4.4 in college and could cover in college.
Seriously question that 40 time. Don't know how fast CJ is, but I'd bet he's every bit as fast as RW was in college.
quote:
He won to many awards at OU to compare to Chad.
Please, don't stoop to comparing "awards", which are in large part a popularity contest.
quote:
Chad is faster then stelz. He could cover no one one on one. They hid him on def. He only showed up against sorry teams like Mississippi state. Chad is a 3 times better ath. the stlez kid just knew his role and did what needed to be done.
Don't really understand all this rambling from an OU fan who professes to know so much about current AND former LSU players. For all your ranting about Craig Steltz, you do realize Steltz is close to becoming a starting safety for the Bears, right? Then you also realize Steltz waited his turn behind that #30 who currently starts at safety for the Redskins, right?
Saying LSU safeties cannot compare with USC & OU safeties is like saying...LSU isn't capable of beating either team--very uninformed.

Despite his height, he should be playing at roughly 227 (not a bit over 230)

Only the players getting hit by Chad think that he is oversized.

Chad's the man. I could see him at LB, but he's a great safety. After watching Chad pitch, I think Miles should let him try QB. That's no BS. He could probably play a little Hester type RB also. Dude's got some serious talent.

Heck, let's try him out for long snapper while we're at it.
Does anyone know if Trent Johnson has tried him at point guard?

Obviously you dont know Chad Jones.
You see when Chad Jones steps on the scale it doesnt "tell" him his weight. It asks him what he would like to weigh.
Watch a few games this season, then get back to us on your stance on Chad Jones, until then ////Thread.
