So In your opinion, winning every game up to the championship and then blowing isn’t as bad as losing multiple games in regular season?
Seriously just curious.
if you deem 2011 as the most disappointing season ever then every lsu season besides 2003,2007,and 1958 are disappointing.
i swear some of you actually believe its better to have not made the NCG than to make it and lose.

the only undefeated regular season in LSU football history plus an SEC championship. we beat the PAC10 champ, ACC Champ, Alabama at home and georgia in the SECCG. without their mulligan Okie State would have been chosen and we would have played and likely beaten the Big 12 champion too.
no it was not a disappointing season. if we had beaten alabama in their mulligan game or Okie State had they been rightly chosen we would have an argument for greatest championship season of all time. losing to alabama doesn't make it not a great season.
1/9 sucked arse but that was still a great season.

You are a moron. We had an incredible regular season and played for a national championship. No, thats far from the most disappointing season.
The championship takes the cake for most disappointing GAME, but thats about it.

What a defeatist bitch mindset. i pity them.

the late collapse vs Clemson
I was just thinking about this the other day...
Think about how the direction of both programs has changed since that game.

2011-2012 is a tie with 2005-2006
Both seasons involved Les Miles
The season he was hired, and the season he completely fricked up.

11-2 isn't a f-up, 2017 and ReelTiger1 are though.

New Orleans did not do a good job of representing LSU.
Neither did Les Miles, I think that's much more relevant than the crowd. Especially if you're saying it was 50/50.

A lot of national media were claiming it was the best regular season in college football history. Obviously that doesn't mean much if you don't finish with a championship. But, it should at least show that we shouldn't view it as the most disappointing season IMO.

That NC game was profoundly disappointing, but it doesn't make me forget how great the season had been up until that point.

Most Disappointing Season
13-1, ranked #2, and first SEC undefeated season in 50 years is most disappointing? Some of our fans are very disappointing or retards.

1-9-12 sucked more than anything I've experienced concening LSU football.
To make matters worse it's been 6 long years since we've been able to have redemption.
If O could beat Alabama in DV this year it'd change script on a lot of ways.

Every season since that season is more disappointing.
2012: Should have beat Alabama, would have played for the SEC title, in good position for a NC appearance.
2013: Best offense in years, no defense. Better defense beats Georgia. Should have beat Ole Miss and would have still been in contention for an SEC birth.
2014: Lost to MSU for the first time in about 2 decades. Got drubbed by Auburn. Squandered another chance to beat Bama.
2015: Skidded to the finish line losing two very winnable games to Arky and Ole Miss.
2016: HC fired 4 games into the season. Inexplicable loss to Florida. Anemic against Bama.
2017: Hired Orgeron as HC. Drubbed by MSU, lost to Troy, never competitive against Bama. Blew the bowl game.
