I've posted it before, worth saying it again:

Les Miles is a great guy, an awesome family man, represents the University well, is very loyal, an above average recruiter, loves the community, treats his players like family, graduates his players at a high level, runs a clean program, makes the tough decisions (dismissing two former SEC Championship MVPs), has invested in the area,, and the community loves him back.

Oh and he wins 80% of his games. Which, if you read the stuff above, is just an added bonus.

It would be a damn shame if he were to leave.

He pretty much used all his cards up in that one game. He just forgot to throw the trump card at end of the game when we had the ball twice approaching the red zone well into 4th qtr. Hell he hadn't made a gamble work all night long. I would have appreciated one more for the win! Was good to see the old Miles back even if the gambles didn't work. That tells you how dominant LSU was in that game. Alabama did not deserve victory. Maybe ATM will serve poetic justice on Sat. That would be fine with me.

I love all those 4 and 1, fake, onside kick etc etc he called last Saturday. We have not seen that Les Miles in a long while , sure it didn't work but it show he didn't back down or wimp out of it either. That aggressiveness seem to have fed the offense and defense all night long. All hail the mad hatter!

Some of you all who live in Louisiana and are around or choose to only be around other LSU fans need to talk to neutral fans more often.

Les the "Mad Hatter" cost our team that game.

An Alabama fan from Tidefans took the words out of my mouth

quote:

So while LSU did outplay Alabama for a lot of the game, they didn't outplay Alabama for 58:30 as I've seen a lot of the media say. I agree that Les Miles over coached the game... he was coaching like Alabama was the better team when in reality LSU was just as good and was outplaying Alabama to a level that simply coaching a conservative game would have won the game. My theory is that Miles coached conservatively last year in Tuscaloosa and it paid off because we shot ourselves in the foot. In New Orleans, he didn't adjust and we destroyed them. So he went back to his old gambling ways in Baton Rouge and of course, it backfired.

Then he reverted to the conservative Miles and it came back and bit him."

This^ and I don't mean it in a bad way. I think when your an underdog, it is necessary to unload the hat and I loved the calls.

So what should he have done, in your opinion?

He plays conservative and gets a bunch of stuff about that so then he goes out and burns the best team in the universe with insane amounts of yardage and led most of the game. Also, did something to Alabama no team has come close to doing this season.

I was not a fan of a couple calls but the packages that were there, the players play, the adjustments, all deserve a ton of credit.

The guy is damned if he does and damn if he doesn't to some people.

"He should've done this _____" and if that wouldn't have worked he would get crucified for it.

or "he should've done _______" Some fans will never be happy with the man which really astounds me.

I sure hope so.

The man is a great coach and great for LSU.

To do what he did Saturday night with that many starters out is unreal. Sure his calls were strange and a few ill advised, we kicked Bama in the teeth and they know it. To think we did that with a team loaded with young men with little game experience is unreal.

I have never seen a head coach seem to enjoy his job more than the hat. Just look at the his smile as the bus pulls up to the hill. The man lives to walk on the field at Tiger Stadium.

That passion is hard to find.

Little Satan sure doesn't seem to enjoy his job at all. Slip over to Tidefans to see the respect that Miles gets. Sure there are some that don't like him, there are plenty that seem to appreciate the fact LSU plays lights out ball because Miles has them ready and they acknowledge he is a good coach.

Hope so. I noticed a lack of this last year but the club performed well enough. Something about Miles gambling fires the kids up. True it didn't work out this go-around, and the fake FG was a poor call (he acknowledged this), but more often than not, it will go well. I hope he resumes this.

I started exactly in 2000. who gives a flying frick what happened back then. This is now. Many bamma fans know shite about their past. All they know is they sucked til they got our coach and he is their Bear B. Stop it with this crap. Oh lets be content with 10-11 wins and not be THE team. Just compete with gamma.

It matters because we who have followed LSU for decades know the potential alternative.

And who the frick is gamma?

This!! We call for his head when we don't win, yet who could do better? I decided a few seasons ago that I would be all in for Les and I am. I do think we need a new offensive coordinator though. I think many schools around here would be happy to have Les and have winning seasons year after year.
