Shouldn't it be yes or no? If I answer true, I'm not sure what that would mean.

Agree. Just like Jim Mora with Carl Smith.

I honestly believe he thinks it is a lack of player execution and blah blah.

Two or three people here still believe it.

Lack of player execution and blah blah

As somebody is Baton Rouge told me this afternoon, never seen a player not earn the starting position back. He said JJ never did jack to take away the starting job from J Lee. Lee throws one interception against Al and he sees the bench the rest of the season.

Do not think the rest of the players failed to notice that one.

I rephrase that because I think he's doing what he knows. He doesn't know how to design and teach a Top 25 caliber offensive system. He lucked out with Jimbo/JR and then Flynn and Crowton's lack of tape won him a title.

But since 2008 he's slowly asphyxiated our offense and we find ourselves here.

It is what it is. We are where we are.

He's won 80 games in 8 years. But he isn't a sacred cow, nor above reproach. He needs to dig deep, look in the mirror and do what's best for LSU.

He needs to take the role of "Head Coach Emeritus"...

Yeah, our sidewalk fans can see LSU's offensive woes, yet the head coach can't.

i am sure it's more of him being stubborn with his philosophy than anything. This situation reminds me of Houston NUtt when he was at Arkansas. Everyone knew that asshat was calling the shots.

execution IS a big part of the problem

injuries are another

The scheme isn't great or anything, but you can win with it. The problem isn't even the plays that are being called so much as when they are being called. If we made them guess a little more I think it would go a long way.

i know he realizes the problems. and correctly too. something many on here don't. do you honestly feel that it is feasible to change this offense, in mid season to a big 12 spread? how sucessful do you think that would be. it's funny how no one complained last year when we were running the ball 200+ yds/game and crushing opponents. it's not the scheme; it's the execution and the inexperience of this team. when players execute, yards are gained.

My bad - meant 2nd interception and he sits on the bench the rest of the season.
How many freak ups did we see from JJ over the years??
Inconsistent treatment of players and it was seen by members of the team.

Run the ball over and over and in the last quarter their defense is beat and tigers win.
formula very successfull till you run up a against DL and DB who can stop the run ie Bama and last nights gators. Successful passing game would help loosen up the DL and the stacked box but i don't see it happening with the OL and the WR drops. Injuries certainly have played a crucical role and we miss our playmakers. Kind of like a ship with no rudder right now.

Woe is me....I was off. Instead of LSU 13 Fla 7 it was Fla 14 LSU 6. But hey what can I say....the O/L was battered and could not provide protection for Mett. Third down conversions 1-13....Ouch!! Sure Mett threw an interception, but what can you do when you know your O/L has a tendency to collapse on you....PDQ. IMO that prolly does cause you to tighten up and increases the possibility you will throw the "Big I". Plus the receivers missed key receptions. Like all of you I groaned when Odell Beckman fumbled that huge catch. Receiving 101....protect the ball at all times. I promptly turned off the television after that painful turnover.....I could not watch the remainder of the game....too painful. Sorry!

But what can I say....this is the SEC. One season you're up....the next season you're down...and the ONLY certainty is that BAMA will always be up. Anyways...I still believe in this team. I'm going out on a limb and make the following prediction.

LSU 13 SC 7

Why this prediction? It's as good (or as bad) as any. Meh... it's Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.

Anybody care for some Turkey Neck Gumbo and a nice thick slice of Hogshead Cheese for desert?

Geaux Tigers!!
