Do you think a rematch between LSU/Bama in the CFP will happen?

They sure are in a damn good position, but I don't think all the stars will align for them this year. There are way too many other teams that could jump them.

We'd never live it down if they somehow advanced and knocked us out Fortunately, we already beat that a$$ so no worries

If Oklahoma beats Baylor this weekend, its blows Bama's best win of the season out the water...I cant see how the Committee doesn't have Oklahoma pass Bama before the end of the season

I guess that Auburn game could give them some help, but that will probably be Auburn's 4th loss of the season

I wish we would. Chance at redemption from 2011. THIS bama team wouldn't win I don't believe. Too many people here fearing this team. I bet those players don't.

I still don’t know why the fact that Georgia moving past Alabama is not getting more media attention. That was huge step in saying to Alabama and the rest of college football that good losses don’t over come bad losses if you don’t have any good wins to back it up. To me it set the stage for a one loss conference champ moving past Alabama at the end of the season.

LSU needs to win out and win SECCG.

That said, a rematch shouldn't have a chance in hell of happening.

But the Bama infatuation by the media is still very real. I think it could happen if some key teams lost a game.

because it's entirely irrelevant. We're either winning the SECCG and would pass them anyway, or losing the SECCG and would fall below htem anyway. The playoff rankings right now are fun to look at but entirely irrelevant until CCG weekend:

UGA vs LSU
OSU vs Minnesota
OU vs Baylor (probably)
Utah vs Oregon (probably)

nothing matters until that weekend shakes out

You completely missed my point. It’s not really about Georgia at all. It’s the fact that team X (Georgia in this case) moved past team Y (Alabama) with one of the worst losses in the top 25. The committee was saying that team X had a better win.

Now apply that same formula to Oregon or Oklahoma at season’s end when they will have had to beat a top 10 team to win their conference.

I have always believed that Oklahoma State should have been facing LSU on 1/9/12, not Alabama.

Just like that season, Alabama most likely won't play in the SEC title game.

I don't believe they deserve a second chance or re-do.

No they will not match LSU with Bama again unless they play in the championship.

It'll be two scenarios:
1) Alabama doesn't make the Final Four

2) LSU is the #1 seed while Bama is #3 vs #2 Ohio St The committee will punish Clemson for their weak schedule and drop them to #4.

quote:

I still don’t know why the fact that Georgia moving past Alabama

That was the dumbest thing about this weekend's rankings. UGA literally had the WORST loss of all the top 25 CFP teams and yet they're #4?

So now we're not punishing teams for losing to a 4-win team that started a 3rd string QB while in UGA

Would be a good game but bama is out of it. Okla, Oregon, Utah or Baylor. My guess Okla.

No, they got rid of the whole BCS for the express purpose of never allowing a repeat of the 2011 SEC rematch.
