I’m happy every time he scores or does well.

JD threw 5 TDs last night, he had 10 TD passes in the 9 SEC games he played last year.

10/3 TD/INT ratio in SEC play (passing)

Lets hope he puts up some bigger numbers this season like last night.

Some of those "bad fans" include those who seem unable to differentiate between criticism and hate. This is a sports message board. People are going to voice their opinions. And that includes those directed toward behalf of successful coaches and players as well. No one is above criticism and even the best can get it wrong sometimes.
when most every objective measure is contrary to their opinion you must assume the source of their dissatisfaction is in fact not based on performance.

For me it doesn’t matter which one succeeds. It’s not about wanting Nuss to succeed at the expense of JD5. The reason the topic persists is because Daniels struggles with open receiver recognition and subsequently hurries his throws. So he doesn’t nail the throw as often as a decisive QB. Nuss has made bad reads too. Plus he isn’t as gifted running the ball so JD5 is the starter. I sincerely hope he gets better in the passing game because our running backs will not get the carries if he doesn’t and that will cost us against really good teams. It already has.

Do you JD lovers ever miss the opportunity to crap all over one of the best offensive lines in college football every time JD gets a little pressure?

The objective scouting report on JD is that he's a talented player with tons of upside who struggles to make reads and throw decisively. It's been mentioned in many articles and football telecasts. Until he improves on that one aspect and silences the critics, he's going to continue to receive criticism for it--especially when there's a talented back-up QB who does not seem to have that paticular drawback (although he has others). That's what you're keying in on--nothing more, nothing less.

I'm happy when JD plays well, but I cringe every time he misses a play in the same old ways.

Most of my frustration is with BK, who just leaves JD in past when it is time to change. For example, when FSU went up by 14 with 10 minutes left in the game. The only way to win that game is to get some explosive plays, to score and score quickly. JD wasn't doing that, and Nuss might have been able to. If Nuss throws a pic, we lose, but if we don't score it's a loss anyway. So, while it is debatable which of Nuss and JD is better as a starter, the game circumstances were such that Nuss was clearly a better choice. Yet, we trotted JD out again.

Then we ran a sweep (into a DE coming up field on a rush for a big loss), which didn't show any sense of urgency. Then JD went back to pass, looked like he was going to throw it but pulled it back down and got sacked shortly after. Then on 3rd and 22, JD threw a 10 yard out. That just didn't make any sense to me at all.

I know I'm in the minority on this one, but both JD and Nuss have had enough practice with the first team, I'd like to see BK use both. I want them both to get enough snaps to get comfortable on game day. Then give more snaps to whichever is having a better day. When JD is having a rough day, it doesn't seem like getting into a rhythm improves things. May as well give Nuss a shot.

Right. Doesn't help that LSU fans have seen this movie before, either, back in 2011.

Since you brought no data for us to look at -- here, I compiled some numbers for us all to look over. This is only for the 9 SEC games he played (lets not count cupcakes).

You can fact check -- here are the two sources:

The only place where Daniels and Nuss are close to each other is in the heads of posters around here. Daniels is clearly the #1 guy, and you don’t pull your #1 down 14 with 10 minutes to go. It just doesn’t happen.

Did you see Saban pull Milroe after 2 INTs and being down 10+ twice in the 4th quarter?

The frick are you talking about?

That was on the money. As was the second one to Hilton. This is the type of shite that makes people question your real agenda here.

Why do you insist on lying to try to uphold your narrative? Can JD improve? Absolutely, but lying about something that we all saw just makes you look foolish.
