Well of course that is pathetic and I don't doubt you,but let's be honest here. What percentage of Lsu fans do you think fall into this category? Less than 1 percent? Your statements seem to be directed toward a much larger group than that. I mean why would you start a thread on a social media site and try to prove a point based on less than 1 percent of our fanbase to support our argument?

it is no different than the little pimply face douchebag kid here still living in mom and dads basement about to be put on their obamacare roll, who beats his bird chest claiming he has a degree from LSU (which i highly doubt) and that his degree makes him better than all others with a degree from elsewhere or fans with education from elsewhere in their lives. Yet most here have probably been fans longer than he has been alive and have pumped more money into the program than he ever will (because he has not put a dime into supporting this program that much is obvious), and I highly doubt he has ever played a down of organized football. he has proven that by his postings. It really is sad and laughable at the same time.

Wait, i take that back, he might have a liberal arts degree from LSU. He majored in getting on his knees and sucking off Leslie Miles night and day. He probably still get's CEU's to this day to go towards renewing his certification in that as well.

You read other threads where posters say "do you accept mediocrity in life?!?!?!", like they are actually doing something to help LSU win other than sitting on arse or buying "baton frickin rouge" t-shirts. Don't act high and mighty like you did something.

This is the part that gets me. It's the same mentality you see in some parents of kids in youth sports who yell at there kid after every strike - it could be the exact same borderline pitch and they would yell at the kid if he swung at it and missed "you gotta lay off that" or if he held up and a strike was called "you gotta swing at that".

I always think a lot of people should join a softball team or a bowling team or coach a youth team or something so they could put their brilliance to the test themselves.

Some of you people need hobbies. Or a long vacation.

Plant a garden. Build a bookshelf. Take up the guitar (I did, at the age of 47). Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Hike into the mountains. Date a stripper. Whatever.

Being a week-long arse due to a football game is pathetic and quite a few folks do that.

You must be 12 and haven't read about the late 70's, 80's, or 90's.

Why such a length post about something you say that you personally consider to be insignificant?

I am not thrilled with this season, but I have put things in perspective and realize its a leisure activity devoted to my alma mater and does not define my success at life.

I truly pity some of the folks here so full of venom that they have lost perspective. It's game guys. Many here act is as if they've busted their asses all week and their life is now skewed by the W-L column.

Hey, I understand the dissatisfaction, but not the over-the-top anger.

Honestly, I'm just as displeased by the season, but as is the case every year, I am reminded by these poor souls to keep it in perspective.

It's like everyone should be miserable or they loathe them as well.

I'd argue that it was closer to 10% of the fanbase judging by what I see and hear from most LSU fans. The people who are sensible get demolished by a bunch of retards in Walmart jerseys with no grammar.

because I am not long-winded about LSU football, rather I'm long-winded about a notable social issue in regards to some people's obsessions.

come on counselor......you can do better than that.

For the actual game and a few hours after, for good or for bad. 2 or 3 days after the season, for good or for bad. Then...next. knowhatImean?

I used too, and it caused me great pain. But I gave up somewhere around 2009-10 when I realized we were stuck with Miles and mediocrity. Now I can just be an apathetic critic.

Apparently it sticks in your craw enough to start a thread about it. I don't live and die by LSU either...but if someone wants to shite the bed everytime we lose...that's certainly their right in this country.
If you find this phenomenon perplexing...tough schitski for you.

I used to. Then I realized that it's all just entertainment . Why should a bad movie occasionally ruin my week. I choose to celebrate the good ones with more joy if I don't expect them all to be great......

as i've gotten older, i've become less and less emotionally attached to the success of the LSU football team. i used to be pissed for weeks about a loss. generally now, i'm over it a couple hours after game, sometimes immediately after. i have far more important things in my life to worry about other than a sports team that is there for my entertainment and that has no direct effect on my day-to-day life.

If they weren't pissed after 1/9 they aren't Tiger fans!

i was more pissed when bama got in that game than i was when the clock hit zero. i was also more pissed when yeldon scored last season. don't get me wrong, i hte even thinking about the 2011 season, but it's much easier for me to digest a loss when LSU gets their arse kicked over losses where you play the "what ifs" for weeks/months/years. it sucked we were so ill prepared, but after the actual game, it was just a different feeling because we just got flat out beat down.

agreed and its my right to talk about it/make fun of it.

btw, I'm only perplexed by foolish behavior when a wise man exhibits it.
