Yes, you're entitled to your own opinion, but when you say Miles isn't a good coach, we have a right to call you ignorant. Since being hired at LSU , no sec team has won more games than LSU, won as many west titles , won more sec titles. Since Miles was hired, LSU lead all bcs conf teams in wins. Let that marinate. No bcs conf team has won more than LSU and you think a shitty coach did that. Do you see how ignorant you sound?

I know there will be people out their that say that wins and losses are the only thing to judge a coach by...and I say that's not true. What I will say though is that he's done a fantastic job of keeping the momentum from Saban's years...and one could argue that the last two years teams were better than the 03 team.
HOWEVER, a zebra doesn't change his stripes and he's good for another Miles moment here soon. I dare to say that when it happens this board will light up light a christmas tree and people will be calling for his head.
To sum it up, AGAIN, I think Miles is a great general manager of the program. But if Miles had to pick teams in the schoolyard against 10 other SEC coaches and just coach a football game when everybody else's players are as good as his....I'd be lying if I said I thought he'd win.
But then again what do I know.
I have NO problem with any of this. I never saw you use the word "SUCK".

I know I'm smarter than you. You think a coach with the 4th highest winning % in sec history is not a good coach. Since 1932 only 3 other coaches have a higher winning %. If LSU goes 9-3 this year , les miles will have the highest winning % of any sec coach EVER( Atleast 100 games coached) and you think he isn't a good coach.

He said Miles isn't a good coach. When someone isn't a good coach it means they are a bad coach, which generally means he sucks at coaching.

lol...smarter in what regard? If smarter means that your glasses are more purple and gold than mine are then you are correct.
Dude seriously, did you not read my post. I specifically stated that some people believe that wins and losses are the only thing that matters in determining the quality of a coach...but I'm not one of them...period.

I know Miles has had his dumb moments, but he is without a doubt a top 10 coach. Read Speedy's thread on what he has accomplished while at LSU. He's done thing at LSU , that no LSU coach has come close to doing.

Sorry Dude. I agree with him and his post. I like Miles and I hope he stays here for the rest of his career. He is GREAT for LSU. I have seen the other side of him getting his team ready for a game. Most would freak about how emotional he can get. BUT He has had his blunders that are well known across the country. I will say it this way. There is NO WAY Miles brings LSU BACK the way Saban did. He has just walked into a great situation and kept it going, BUT 08-09 were TERRIBLE Lots of BAD choices in those years.AND HIS CHOICE to NOT make a change on 01-09 was abysmal.

I didn't read every post but I'll say this: in addition to his amazing win record, consistently pulling in top recruits speaks volumes. They sure as hell don't think he "sucks" as a coach or they wouldn't come here, and there are a hell of a lotta other schools with "great" coaches trying to get them.

Ohhhh....now I get it...you're one of "those". You're one of those guys who belives that all it takes is for a great coach to set a program on the right course and then it just runs on autopilot huh? Is that what you're saying? A drunk monkey could keep LSU at the top since God Saban waved his magic wand and pronounced us contenders for life?

It's sad......Miles isn't perfect, no coach is BUT he is the best coach LSU has ever had.

Its not a ridiculous assumption that most SEC coaches could have similar success if they were taking over a Saban-made program at LSU. Miles doesn't suck, but you cant say that he didnt start out with a ready-built elite program. Very few coaches get an opportunity like Miles did, and Miles hasn't squandered the opportunity.
Larry Coker did, and we can safely say that he sucks.
