re: Do you have a WANT to restore Miles to good favor?

Nope. Done, since 09. Will never forget 1/9/12, everything else he's done here just adds to that fire. If/when we have a few SEC losses this year, that will likely prompt his exit.

proved to me, he is not cut out to be a big time gameday coach. We've been winning in spite of him, as far as I'm concerned.

Yes my friend, and I'm afraid we have a fan base that quickly forgets those things from that part of his tenure here. Its like 11' still has people drunk. I can still remember how bad it was during Hallman's last days, was sickening to watch us play. Miles has made LSU football painful to watch, and I'd like to enjoy watching our team again someday before Christ returns.

its been a long time coming but I've finally thrown in the towel. It really started during the Jefferson debacle, peaked at the 1/9, and has continued to hurt since then. I go into every game thinking what will Miles do now to screw it up and very seldom does he disappoint. Adding icing to the cake is his inability to speak without gobbleygook. I still love the team, but I'm over the coach.

There are way too many things and situations that Miles has his hand in that ruins the whole experience. It shouldn't be that way. It's supposed to be entertaining and an escape. Yet, it's so frustrating - even when LSU wins.
I ultimately want LSU to win every game, but I don't care to see them fumble and bumble their way to get there. That's how I feel it's been the entire Miles tenure.

Even IF he turns this team around and we finish 11-2 with a SEC Title and a solid bowl, I have little to no doubt we'll revert back to the same bullshite within a year and be watching this program lose 3+ games once again every season.
He should have been gone last year, it's time to move on

this. two things boggle my mind...1)how incompetent our offense is year after year. i'm not talking the "scheme", i'm talking play calling and execution...2)how Miles allows the other team to dictate the game by shutting down our run game and he doesn't do one single thing to adjust.

i'm over the coach too. have been since 1/9. IF he wins the west this year or even goes 10-2 then i don't see him going anywhere.
i want him gone if we don't win the west, but i doubt that happens.

No, it's time for him to go. He's an old dog unwilling to learn new tricks. The game has passed him by long ago.

This was supposed to be the year, the year when LSU supposedly had all the pieces needed to beat Bama, win the SEC championship, and compete for another national championship.
That being said, it's kinda hard to feel sorry for Les; all summer we heard about how much progress Harris had made, and how they were going to open up the offense more. With LF7 at RB, a legit passing attack, and an Aranda-led defense, how could LSU be stopped?
I guess all of that is still possible; if LSU wins out we'll still make the playoff. But this year, it's pretty much playoff or bust in the eyes of many fans. LSU fans have become spoiled, and have developed a sense of entitlement. I like that we have high expectations, but it's a double-edged sword in a lot of ways.
I guess the question is, should we be patient and stuck with Les, even if we don't make the playoff, or has he reached a plateau? Kinda reminds me of Nebraska in the 80s. Every year they had 9, 10, 11 wins, but they could never win the big one. Msny wanted Osborne fired. I'm the end, they stuck with him, and it eventually paid big dividends. I just don't think that LSU fans have that sort of patience.

The way this question is phrased really highlights the misunderstanding and divide with the pumpers and negatiger debates. Some people characterized as negative want to see the LSU program restored, not one guy. If there is a coach keeping the program from being its best, get him out of the way. This is the problem when a coach is at a program for a long time...he sort of becomes the program for some people; and the divorce is harder and drags out.

Nearly everyone wants Miles if he was able to change. But that's not part of who he is. Ergo, he needs to go.

Wrong question, OP.
The objective is to "restore" the FB program, not Les.
As much as we have invested in Les, it appears he cannot be restored.
I wish him the best and appreciate his record, but it's time for someone new.

I don't care what happens. The Wisconsin game did it for me. Total disaster...Not because we lost. That happens. But because it was the same old thing - even after being warned repeatedly. No change at all.
And, we returned 17 starters from top 5 recruiting classes and we're looking at an average, middle of the pack, SEC team. Ridiculous.
I'm done with Miles. Finished.

And here's why. I am sick and tired of this bullshite Les spews.
coach Les Miles on Dupre: He's as talented as there is and a good person. He's going to care.
Miles advice for receivers: "They tie their minds to their hands."
Maybe if our players had the fear of riding the bench if they can't get the job down they wouldn't be making simple mistakes.
Miles asked if he regrets not playing Etling vs. UW: "We were not in the same position."

Ive never liked him, from the first game i thought he was a bad hire... Great man but a dinosaur of a football coach... When I heard the interview that Mike Gundy gave of him years ago I knew things wouldnt be good. The AD needs to go all in on Herman before someone else gets him..
