Do you have a problem with Ben Simmons' effort?

I don't at all. Potentially the best SEC freshman of all time.

I know a clown IRL (he posts here but doesn't watch games) who is adamant that Ben Simmons doesn't try. He points to the record as evidence.

Discuss.

I would like him to shoot more 3's and mid range shots like he did in highschool

Is there any question that he gives great effort?

Maybe, but he's still trying to become the best freshman all time at LSU.

His effort is fine...he is just super smooth athletically and everything looks really easy for him...watch how fast he gets down the floor he is faster than much smaller guys

He gets lazy at times and sets very lazy screens, but he plays insane minutes and was visibly tired last night.

Good point. Last night after the made free throw for UGA when he sprinted down the floor and Quarterman hit him for the alley oop was impressive just for the speed of the 6'10 player.

I'd like to see him attack the basket more often and more aggressively. Other than that I have no complaints

Right...effort isn't the issue.

The kid is just a tremendously unselfish player, and at times that seems to hurt both his own potential performances and his team's chances. If he was to play more aggressively, and take more chances and push his opportunities more, I don't think there would be this perception, because his numbers would be even gaudier.

It's odd that the best player on the court is such a facilitator, but in this case it's true. Sadly, when he gets to the NBA is when, after a few years, you'll see him truly blossom. We're only getting a glimpse of what he'll become one day...

Shoots FTs like shaq.
Seems he should be more dominant like CJ or oneal was.

I mean I know you think all black guys look alike, but 71% > 57%.

He's pretty much our entire offense in the paint and we can't afford to have him off the court for longer than 2-3 minutes twice a game because we look like a DIII squad without him out there

So he's not lazy, he's just gassed when it hits the second half

I thought Simmons was half and half?

Btw, why are you such a miserable kid?

Victor has actually been a breath of fresh air. Nice to see his FT% improving

I have noticed he does tire out near the end of games that he's not in foul trouble. Jones tries to get him rest, but it's hard because there's just nothing behind him...

I think he occasionally loses focus but I wouldn't say it is effort, meaning more mental than physical.
