Just because you are clueless and thinks he has only had two good years as a head coach doesn't mean that the rest of us are as ignorant.
Jimbo bailed Les Miles' arse out of that 2005 season. He ignored Miles on several occasions and played for touchdowns instead of field goals and it won us ball games.

Uh no. CEO would take it on a 2 year deal to prove his worth. Again no one gives an actual reason to pay $5MM to Jimbo. That's plain dumb. Not only that but he probably wouldn't even come here for that. We'd have to pay him $6MM on a long term deal.

Yes Choupique you are ignorant. People wanted Jimbo gone when he was here. Now all of a sudden he's a QB guru. I'm not saying Jimbo is a bad coach. He's a good coach, but he's not worth paying that kind of money on a long term deal. He's just not.

You can't give a hc less than a four year deal. It creates uncertainty and kills recruiting.

A) The smart people that hire football coaches never wanted him gone. He left because of Miles.
B) It's not your money, so why are you worried about it?
C) He didn't just all of the sudden become a QB guru. Rohan Davey, Matt Mauck, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel, Jameis Winston... all of them coached up by Jimbo.
D) Hiring Orgeron on a 2 year contract is the dumbest idea ever. How is he going to recruit kids to come to LSU when LSU doesn't even have confidence in him?

And how the hell is jimbo fisher not a proven head coach? He has kept florida state relevant in the national picture for a while now. He is also one of the best recruiters in the country. Not to menation he is a great qb coach and his offense is always pretty efficient. If we get jimbo and keep our current defensive staff, lsu will be a force to be reckoned with. With nobody to compete with lsu for our regions to talent, he will wreck shite here. If lsu can't get jimbo, I would just stick with ed orgeron.

You can't recruit on a 2 year contract. Coach couldn't promise recruits he'd be there for 4 years. Just stop
