U can't talk to these jerk offs. 95% of people on this board don't know anything about football. They are the vocal minority. Sheeple

SEC West is good but overrated. Alabama is the only consistent winner. All the rest take turns sucking and then act like they don't suck.

LSU football isn't even fun to watch anymore. May not even watch the bowl game. It will be the same garbage as usual.

LSU is not comparable to most DI teams. They play in the best conference and have multiple intrinsic advantages.

Given all that, LSU has been somewhere between mediocre and slightly better since Les backed into the 2-loss NC. One great year, 2 - 3 good years, 2-3 dissapointing years.

Actually, a 14-10 record is second best in the SEC West over that timeframe.......that's because Ole Miss, Arkansas and Miss. State have improved over the last two years, and LSU hasn't. As recently as 2012 those teams' programs weren't of the same calibre as LSU, and this year, LSU lucked into a win over State and was blown out by Ole Miss and the Hogs.

I'm talking about us getting dominated by Auburn, MSU, Arkansas,Alabama, and Ole Miss the last 2 years. If that isn't mediocre then what is?
Say what? LSU beat Ole Miss last year, and beat MSU and Auburn this year.

9-9 in the SEC west in 3 years, that is the definition of mediocre.

not necessarily

If I were to get in a swimming race with Michael Phelps and won 5 out of 10 times...that is actually really good.

If I were to win 5 out of 10 times with someone with no arms and no legs then thats really bad.

9-9 in the southland conference is not the same as 9-9 in the best division in college football.
it's kinda lazy because more often than not those west games are top 25 vs top 25. so even if you are at .500 in the west that's still better than majority of teams would be if they had to play those games and if better than a majority then that's not mediocre.

I don't expect anyone that is screaming decline to understand that though because they are still melting. But I do find it odd that we are declining while improving on win total this year.

It means you win about as many games as you lose. Look at LSU's SEC record, it's not much better than mediocre, especially when you look at their record against SEC West opponents. The only bright spot the last few years has been our ability to dominate Texas A&M.

The best measuring stick is how you do against the teams in your league. By the way Alabama only accounts for 3 of those 9 loses and at least 3 were to unranked teams. But hey, keep making excuses if it makes you feel better about yourself. .500 in your division is mediocre because in order to be elite, you have to first beat the teams on your schedule and in your league.
