I would happily take him even if he just makes football enjoyable again.
BK's lack of enthusiasm must have rubbed on Tiger Stadium, because both games I went to this year genuinely felt off and lack of passion and magic.

Right now? Obviously. That would be a pretty sick. PR move for us.

Hire him on a 3 year deal, give him absurd money where he is responsible for naming his successor.

He's too old and tired to be the old Nick Saban we want him to be. With that said, he would be the only person who could get things moving in the right direction even if he's 50% of his former self. However, there is zero chance of this happening.

I think that what's missing here is that the structure of the college football front office has evolved. Saban doesn't have to love NIL or really deal with it. He just calls the shots for his staff to execute. Obviously we'd hope that he'd be more personally involved with it than Kelly seemingly was, but maybe Saban really doesn't have to be. Kelly is not Saban. Saban would even be able to do more with less if it came to it.
I still consider Saban a long shot, but I'd be ecstatic if he decided to return to LSU. At worst, he gives us hope. At best, he gives us another natty and rides back off into the sunset after having rebuilt what seems like a sinking ship.

I’m down with saban and he can bring in a coach in waiting
Hell, let muschamp run the defense
Locksley can run the offense after Maryland fires him

Don’t worry. He’s not coming out of retirement.

I don't think he would risk coming back here. Think about it, he wouldn't sniff a playoff berth for a few years rebuilding this program.

If you can't win with Saban, you can't win with anyone. That simple. He didn't forget how to coach overnight. The game never passed him up. Wouldn't that be a magical story. His life mistake going to NFL then reset order here with 1 more NC. That would be one for the story books.
That said, ain't happening.

but he’ll damn sure bring the program back to relevancy before he leaves
He’ll do that immediately

Do you think he would half-arse it if he came back? If he feels the drive to come back to the game, you let him.

It’s a question that doesn’t matter because it is not happening.

I don’t think Saban is too much worried about his reputation

So if you're looking for a car to take you down the road 250k miles, why buy a car with 175k miles on it? We need to look to the future, not the present or we'll be reliving this nightmare in 3 or 4 years.

I live in Alabama. It would be worth it to me just to see the Gump nuclear meltdown.

If he wants back, give him the damn keys.
