Do we really need a #1 WR in the portal?

I actually would rather conserve our resources and use that money on one starting OL and a S. Of course DL is always great to add to but I feel good about our DL next year with Guillory coming back and the way McKinley played last night. Reliford and Womack will have a chance to be our DE but you still take a DL that can rotate in. I like our pass catching group, especially if Mason Taylor comes back. Keep Green an WR as the big target outside with Taylor and Pimpton at TE. CJ Daniels in the slot and Chris Hilton could be your deep threat. We saw his talent when now that he’s shaking the rust off. We get Kyle Parker coming back healthy who is going to get playing time also. I wouldn’t sneeze at adding a big play WR, i’m just saying if there are good players on the defensive side of the ball or OL I would make that the priority.

Do we WANT one...without question!
Think about all the great QB's of the last 20 yrs around here. They all had multiple great WR's around them that have gone on to be great in the league.
Any time you can bring in a game-changing skill player, you do it without hesitatation!

CJ Daniels sure looks the part. I just question if someone better than him will hit the portal. I’m guessing Shelton Sampson leaves this offseason but we have some promising young players at the position.

I doubt you get a true #1 receiver in the portal, Daniels will likely be that guy if he returns.

I seem to think differently on this than most of you.
I think we have plenty of talent at WR if used correctly.
If anything, we could use a more consistent deep threat in the event Hilton can’t stay healthy again.
But other than that, we’ve got plenty of talent. I still think Watkins in the slot and leaning on Pimpton / Green in the passing game more will do wonders.
