Do we even need a DC?

Coach O has an extensive defensive background, and he's sure as heck going to be staying out of the offensive play calling next year. He'll literally have nothing to do on the sidelines except yell at refs unless we let him call the defense. Plus we'll save a little money. Nothing wrong with that.

Last year was quite possibly the worst defense in the 100+ year history of the LSU football program.
One of the reasons Orgeron struggled at Ole Miss was, according to him, because he interfered (aka "tried to help") with the coordinators gameplan.
So yes, we absolutely need someone to coach the defense.
