After he absolutely destroyed our program through his blatant cheating. At least after Johnny Jones we weren’t facing sanctions.

Sad thing is, with sanctions we might go better than 2-16. Might as well have had sanctions.

Yes! Our fan base is littered with morons! They blame Woodward.

I will always appreciate WW for bringing back energy into the program, but after the news came out, I don't really care about the guy anymore. I still much prefer him over the last two coaches.

I 100% do. He was a consistently winning coach more so than any coach we’ve had in over 20 years. He actually was filling the PMAC with regularity. I can count on one hand the number of games in the PMAC that had if even 2/3s full in the 10 years before he got here. I don’t give a single f$&k about cheating, especially with NIL making it all 100% legal now, and every major program being involved since the dawn on time. The NCAA is a worthless and toothless organization. The worst possible outcome for LSU, worse than any sanctions that were foreseeable, was losing Wade as a coach. The only organization that is a bigger joke than the NCAA is our administration.

We weren’t making the tournament with Jones or Johnson anyway, so how is taking a couple seasons off due to a postseason ban any worse than watching us not make the tournament with Ben Simmons on the roster? And that’s assuming the NCAA was even going to actually get around to doing anything.

If not for Covid, will’s teams would have 4 straight tournament appearances including a Sweet 16 run. What is that, chopped liver?

Are those coaches on tape and offering players girlfriends money through text?

Well why did Wade continue to lie about his paying players?

Well if this in fact the case our new coach will have LSU back in no time.

Coke on man, Wade isn’t close to a top coach without cheating for the players, I thick with the records and accomplishments the new guy is gonna be way better overall coach.

Because the our spineless University admins suspended him every tournament season when Pat Forde would reorder the same allegations annually in a new hit piece every March.

Yep. I'm not a pussy. I don't pretend to believe college basketball is some pie in the sky amateur student athlete utopia. It's a business and Wade did what he had to do. Same as any other school trying to win. Could it have been a little less messy? Sure. But Zion moving into a mansion in our faces can be argued more messy. It's right there.

You people that cry about Will cheating are probably by and large the same people with you heads in the sand on the political front.

Grow up. And Boot the frick up.

We had our shot. And we blew it. Pussies.

I’m glad he was our coach and wish he still was. Fully support the new guy though.

Not a top coach? Was Will’s talent THAT much better than Johnny Jobes’s rosters? No. Yet, LSU consistently won games under Will and lost under Jones. Wade cracked the code, had LSU playing good defense and hitting consistent free-throws for the first time IN MY LIFETIME!!!

Y’all revisionists are either willfully disingenuous due to your agenda to defend the university, completely fail to see what he did here was a major positive outlier compared to the previous 20 seasons, or you have zero understanding of basketball in general and LSU basketball specifically.

Johnny Jones and Trent Johnson sure did feel like sanctions…

We had a successful coach. Now he’s gone. Hopefully the new guy can build it back up. Many people did not want to have to build it back up.

What part of 2-14 in SEC play the year before he came do you not understand????

He did NOT set this program back no matter how you spin it. A guaran damn tee the basketball program does better than 2-14 in SEC play the year after he leaves.

I support whoever is the basketball coach

When Will Wade was the coach I supported him and now that Matt McMahon is the coach I will support him

The posts about how we are about to go back to the dark days irate me because I think Matt McMahon can keep us competitive every year
