Unitas still owns records, and did it in a time that was so different, no dome, perfect weather conditions, no cheesy over protection for quarterbacks, etc. Most of these players would not come close to these records if they played in those days imo.

Not to get into a debate, but let us just say that the caliber of athlete in today's game, in addition to the complexity of offenses and defenses, does not even compare to those times

So your saying LSU won’t compete without a black QB?
No dumbass. Maybe you should ask the poster I responded to why he cherry-picked black QBs to list. One which won many games.
My point is that it's a dual threat/ability thing. Not a race thing. Baker Mayfield proves that. Top 4 teams have dual threats. Look at what Saban has recruited and had sustained success with.

I dont care who the QB is next year. I just want this Les Miles ineptitude of quarterback play to end!

This matters not at LSU. The backups are always the best in the country and the starter will always be the worst player on the field.

And you know they're all the same. In fact can't tell them apart.

There is a reason Narcisse was recruited, but there is also a reason that he has not played. I don't know the reason and neither does any other poster on The Rant. I do know that these coaches want to win and if Narcisse gave them the best chance to win, he would be playing, and bringing race into the situation is ridiculous.

Semjackass (BRAVEHEART) . There you go again. Who knew? You would be against Vince Young, Warren Moon, Doug Williams, James Harris, Mike Vick, Russell Wilson, Donovan McNabb, Randall Cunningham, Steve "Air" McNair, Deshaun Watson, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston and especially Colin Kaepernick as QBs at LSU.
I don't know about the rest of those downplaying Narcisse's potential, but I definitely know your reason. You are a died in the wool racist. You will always be against a black playing QB at LSU. And sadly, there are too many more just like you in this fanbase.

Wow, some of you are so dumb. Do people have to put #sarcasm after their posts? And those who try to compare Narcisse not playing since he was a soph in HS to a person sitting the bench for 3 years in college are dolts too. But the worst are those who try to claim racism.
I hope we all want LSU to be successful, regardless (or as some of you would say, irregardless) of the QB. I’m concerned that Narcisse hasn’t played in while, but if he wins the job, let’s roll.
We have a new coaching staff that can hopefully develop a dual threat QB, but I challenge anyone to name a successful DT from LSU. Jordan Jefferson is the closest, but he was god awful at times. I’d take Rohan, Jamarcus, or Mett any day over JJ.

So are you saying a talented dual threat QB couldnt thrive at LSU? That LSU can only be successful with pocket passers?
For those against DT QB at LSU, who was the head coach of those terrible DT QBs at LSU? Now list all of the successful QBs at LSU while he was head coach. Of those, how many started their college career and QB development under a different head coach?
How many successful QBs started and ended their college careers under Lea Miles at LSU? Zero! There's your answer. Yet some blame the many 4 star DTs who chose to play for LSU under Less Miles.
The college scene is full of ultra successful DT QBs. In fact dominated by them. Yet we still got those who say they don't want DTs at LSU. That makes no sense whatsoever, unless you are Semjackass (BRAVEHEART) or those of his ilk.

I agree with the rest of your post, but this is a bad example. Most of saban’s success came with AJ McCarron and Greg McElroy, who are hardly dual threats.

Do you not realize he is the likely backup QB next year?
Therefore, he is now automatically entitled as the GOAT LSU QB.
It’s not that complicated.
