Do most of you really see no difference between 8-5 and 10-3

Or is it that you are just pretty sure we will lose the last two games? IMO there is still a lot to play for. Sure our coaching sucks, but we are ranked 15 in the BCS. Ole Miss is a better team than Arkansas and Nebraska. Win those two and we might finish the season in the top 10. Sure we all should be pissed we underachieved based on how the season went, but all is not lost.

Your ignoring the elephant in the room.

10-3, and hiring a great OC, new OL Coach, new WR Coach, would go a long way in damage control for Miles..
It still doesn't show any real indication that he will be competent to be beating out Saban and Bama with any consistency, but it's a start and an effort to close the gap.

I said this in another post... because of the Ole Miss game (and what's transpired in the past but let go because of the wins), and add the fact 7-5 last year, Les Miles' reputation has been badly damaged with many LSU fans, including myself.
I defended him, for the most part, since 2005. No more. I've had enough.
The circus of errors and embarrassment must end. This is ridiculous. At this point, I don't care if LSU ends up 10-3 (which they probably won't if he's lost some players).

"Anything that should be done inevitably should be done immediately."
Beating a mediocre Arky team and a bad Big 12 representative would only offer more fuel to those that wish to keep the wheels in motion to further mediocrity or worse. IMO

I've been a Miles' defender and I'm not off the bandwagon yet (although I'm looking for a safe spot to land on now).
The problem is the trend and the play of the team. I like the overall direction of the defense. That's the good news. The offense looks pitiful and there's no reason to be optimistic about 2010. Jefferson seems like an "ok" QB. Lee is probably a headcase. Do we really want another 19yo in Shepard taking the reins? The offensive line looks to be no better. We lose Scott and Williams. Wow ... now I'm getting depressed.

All is not lost but I will no longer defend Coach Miles and will only regain confidence in our coaching staff if he hires a sharp and innovative OC and puts him on the sidelines to help manage the game.

And where should blame go? The head coach.

This is the fricking problem. It doesn't fricking matter whether you defend Miles or not. It's about winning the last two games. That doesn't mean Miles is right for the long-term future necessarily. I'm just saying that this SEASON, we have the team capable to finish our last two games and finish 10-3, which would salvage somewhat of a down year.

Of course it is, but I'm feeling the "fans" on this board don't really care if we finish with 3 losses, or 5, because Miles sucks as a head coach. To me, there is a HUGE difference. 10-3 is in line with everyone's preseason expectations.

LSUtoOmaha, people are disgusted. I'm disgusted. LSU is a laughing stock right now in the national media (reflection of Les Miles). He's an embarrassment. He needs to leave LSU before it's too late.
Sure, it would be nice if LSU wins the last 2 games. But it doesn't solve anything.

Try to look past your nose. Winning the last 2 games, albeit vs mediocre opponents, only strengthens the arguments for Miles to remain in place.
It has a great deal to do with whether you defend Miles or not.
I feel terrible for the seniors on this team the most.

I'll be cheering for my Tigers on Saturday, but I'll still be pissed that they are having to play against their coaches as well as the other team.

Sure it does. It makes us better for this season, and we finish at least in the top 12 BCS. I just wish people would worry about the present a little more than future trend lines.
