It's a catch 22 and a stupid point to argue. If we finish 10-3, realistically, Miles probably buys himself 2 more years. If he finishes 8-5, probably only one more year. I'll be cheering for the tigers to win but if we lose, I won't be devastated, especially if we lose in a fashion that highlights poor coaching once again.

I feel sorry for the players right now and I do not want to continue feeling sorry for them in years to come. There's no leadership on sideline and none on the field.

Miles is bad for this program. Positigers who want Miles to stick around are really negatigers b/c they accept mediocrity.

we win the next 2 games & go 10-3, no way Miles goes any time soon. (doesn't change any of his deficiencies)

If we lose the next 2 and go 8-5, after last year, he's in hot water (particularly with the late season collapses).

I think Miles is a bad coach, so I'm willing to take the chance. If we lose the last 2 games & he is here for years to come, so be it.

we haven't beaten one quality team this season. Getting to 10 wins is nothing to be excited about

10 wins sounds better than 8 wins, but should we beat Arkansas (doubtful) and win a bowl game, we'll still have 8 losses in our own league in two years. (9 if we lose to Ark) Last year we tied for 7th in a 12 team league, and this year we're 4th with a win over Arkansas, and a minimum of 6th with a loss. I guess that's improvement......

Top Ten??? who gives a rats arse

I do. It actually means a lot in terms of the prestige of our program. Now, do I support our coaching staff? No.

Dammit you have no reading comprehension skills. We are not propping Miles or Crowton up. 10-3 is much much better than 8-5, that is all I'm trying to say.

I see your point. But in addition, Miles better have them neck-deep in the national title conversation very late in the season next year. If not, my patience ends there.

All I see is 7 and 8. This is fact, not opinion.

You folks hanging on 9 or 10 wins are buying fool's gold.

Take away the THREE in state rent-a-wins. Those do nothing but mask the real story.

There's no real difference between THIS 8-3 (no way it will be 10-3) and last year's 8-5. Sure, the losses to good teams have been closer, but so have the wins over bad ones. Sure, we beat Georgia this year instead of losing to them, but that's just because Georgia sucks this year. Yes, the defense is better this year, but the offense is worse, and by a bigger margin. Net, we're the same as or worse than last year. People called last year a rebuilding year. Well, it's only a rebuilding year if you are building (or rebuilding) something. We built nothing. We wasted a fricking year and came right back out and had another shitty one. Next year, ditto.

Or is it that you are just pretty sure we will lose the last two games?

Well, we will without a doubt lose to Arkansas this week. What happens in the bowl game really doesn't matter, as we found out this year after last year's impressive Peach Bowl.

Sure we all should be pissed we underachieved based on how the season went, but all is not lost.

No, all is not lost. Not yet. But give Les time. He'll get there.

and kelvin sheppard, hes playing lights out this year, and could possibly consider
