Try to look past your nose. Winning the last 2 games, albeit vs mediocre opponents, only strengthens the arguments for Miles to remain in place.
so just to clarify- you are hoping for a couple of losses?

It has a great deal to do with whether you defend Miles or not.
Oh so you are pulling for us to lose the last two games so that Miles gets showed the door more quickly? Wow, fans like you are WAY more embarrassing to our program than any coach.

Sure, it would be nice if LSU wins the last 2 games. But it doesn't solve anything.
Sure it does. It makes us better for this season, and we finish at least in the top 12 BCS. I just wish people would worry about the present a little more than future trend lines.
LSUtoOmaha, there's an elephant in the room, and it needs to be sent on its way to the circus. I understand your zeal, and admire it to some degree, but there's a problem at LSU right now and, I and many others feel, if it's not addressed then 2-3 years from now our conversation might be something like, "who was worse, Les Miles or Curley Hallman? They both had the same number of wins in their final year at LSU."
Yes, great LSU wins today, but LSU needs to win 3 years from now, too. The future is today, and if you don't build for the future, then you throw everything away today.

If it improves our chances of getting a more competent coach, absolutely.
I'd take a couple steps back to end up forward.
Who wouldn't?
Again, I feel terrible for the players, but they'll be in a worse place if it never happens.
Insanity is doing the same thing over & again and expecting different results.

So us winning the next two games somehow inhibits our ability to be good in the future? Why are they mutually exclusive?

I want the Tigers to win. I hate losing.
That said, Miles threw the players under the bus, and apparently they are still blaming them for their own incompetence.
The players deserve better.

So you'd rather keep him on board and continue to be a national laughing stock and a below average SEC football team?
Yes or no?
It's that simple.
Tough times require tough decisions. Obviously, I'd hope we'd win our last 2 games & still show Miles the door. But we all know that won't happen.

It's just as likely that they could lose the last 2 games and still have Miles there next year... THEN how would you feel? To have "day wished" losses on those players just to try and pacify your bloodlust?

why is this so hard for you to grasp?
If Miles wins these last 2 games (even though the competition is mediocre) it probably means he stays longer.
If you want him to stay, then great, that's what you want.
If you hope that he eventually leaves, this helps speed that up.
Again, hate to even say that & feel terrible for the players, but it's not that difficult a concept to understand.

I get what you are saying. I just think it makes you an absolutely terrible fan. That's just my opinion.

Or is it that you are just pretty sure we will lose the last two games? IMO there is still a lot to play for. Sure our coaching sucks, but we are ranked 15 in the BCS. Ole Miss is a better team than Arkansas and Nebraska. Win those two and we might finish the season in the top 10. Sure we all should be pissed we underachieved based on how the season went, but all is not lost.
Unless you believe Miles is a coach that will lead us to championships in the future, then you should hope that we go 8-5, as much as it sucks for the players. Those freshman will be here for another 3 years and they deserve a chance to play for championships.
That's what they came to LSU for. They did not come to LSU to lose 2-3 games per year at best and hope to finish in the top 10, while playing for a guy who can't take individual pieces and create a championship whole. It's clear to me at this point that Miles is not good enough, so I won't be heartbroken if we lose out.
I've seen how the fanbase and the AD react to a 10 win season and top 10 finish. That would just buy Miles time, no matter that we have all known all year that this was not a very good team.
