The weight room should be Pickett’s first priority this offseason. If he truly wants to be elite, he needs to add mass and strength. He needs to be able to be physical with the WRs off the line and in 1x1 contact down the field. Without this, he will lose a half a step against the bigger, more physical receivers.

I hope he hits it hard this summer

Oh damn, he had it all wrong then. Sources said he was training to lose 20-25lbs going into next year.

You better get in touch with him b4 it’s 2 late bro.

If he lost 20-25 lbs, he’d look like Chet holmgren running down the field.

In his defense we ran a scheme that didn’t fit his strengths. That soft coverage bullshite wasn’t it

You think he struggled because he lacked strength?

He can already run with most WR, and plays the ball in the air really well. I wouldn’t want him putting on too much more weight.

It was year 1 in a college football strength program, and he stepped in and excelled. He will naturally get stronger his next 2 years.

If Pickett needs to gain weight, it would be for the run fit. Not coverage. He’s 195 which is around the norm for a cover corner. He is a bit taller, so 10-15 lbs might be alright, but speed and agility should not be sacrificed.
