what other kind of coaching gig does he think he'll get? OC at a smaller school?

If true, that's suprising. He's a great recruiter and coach. Receivers have been a strength for years. QB has been the issue the last two.

He's a West Coast guy. Maybe he wants to get back out there.

It wouldn't be a big loss, regardless. Young wide receiver coaches that are relentless recruiters are a dime a dozen.

Why would he get fired? Seems liek a good recruiter, and the only way I could see him getting fired is if he was in charge of playing Chris Mitchell over Randle

I could have sworn I heard he wasn't in Les' plans for the future, but hey, maybe I'm wrong. He's a lot better than Williams was. Who was WR coach before McCarthy? Slips my mind.

I highly doubt we fire him. He's the heir apparent to porter's spot as ace recruiter. Maybe he wants to return to the west coast

SHOULD have been let go last year with Malveto and Lane. We don't need anymore of these "Used Car Salesmen" great recruiter types that can't technically coach their way out of wet paper bags. Ever wonder why our WR's are so slow to develop and drop so many balls? We need somebody that can coach em up. Too much talent going to waste with McCarthy. Time to move on and hire a coach that can actually teach them how to focus/concentrate and hang on to the ball during a game............

we should go after this guy LINK

nevermind that he is coaching at his alma mater and is a co-offensive coordinator and would be taking a step back. I think we could pay him enough to make it worth it.
