There were two subs on the play. Jefferson for Lee, which didn't cause an issue. And Jacobs for Edwards, late, which is where the issue happened.

I'm not sure what the QB sub had to do with it.

Again, I am not blaming it on the players. Why are we swapping out like that? We were in the goal line package already, yet felt the need to sub multiple players to run a QB draw?

Les and his staff didn't really have that problem all season, yet the very first play they try to put JJ in, we see the problems of last season. It's an issue Les has clearly not fixed.

we always have sub errors with JJ coming in

How many did we have during his 3rd quarter drive? Had to be 2 or 3, right?

Or did some confusion happen on the field the 1st time JJ entered the game? Resulting in a TO?

So you believe that simply the act of substituting Jefferson caused some other player to forget?
Jefferson came in Lee came out. End of Jefferson involvment.
I'm sorry that's too logical for you.

but our coaches always want to change our lineup when we put in JJ b/c the coaches want to run a completely different offense

THAT is where the errors come in. it's not JJ fricking up. he's a victim of circumstance

So why all the JJ hatred today? If things weren't his fault why are people like DOC on his azz?

we committed a penalty with 12 men

the ref didn't call it, and he should have. that ref needs to be suspended for being such a fricking idiot

Is it possible that the TO was called before the ref had time to see the 12th man? I think the other official had signalling for a timeout before the ref started his backpedalling and counting people.

Since the TO was called, it becomes a technical violation at worst - didn't effect anything except costing us a TO. I don't think KY has anything to bitch about.

They aren't hating JJ. They are hating the idea of going back to the problems from last season. The offense seems to be moving smoothly in both phases and the second JJ is brought back into the fold the WRs are dropping balls, the OL blocking becomes extremely weak, and there is an overall uneasiness in the offense.

That isn't a coincidence. I don't blame JJ himself for this, but how the coaches seem to be handling it.

The ref was about to call it when the other official signaled the timeout call. Unfortunately, a timeout can't counter that penalty. It is still a penalty. The ref effed up.

All of this began before JJ entered the game.

it's the use of JJ. not JJ himself

he's a shitty QB, but people don't hate JJ

they hate our coaches' usage of him

We have the 90th ranked offense in the country for the love of God.

Scoring offense is in the top 20. The defense and Brad Wing are giving the offense short fields, so total yards are going to skewed. If you can't see the difference in our offense from the past 2 years to this year with Lee running it, there's no point in arguing.

i think he means "in the fold" as in on the team as a threat to play

and i think the "drops" argument is silly, personally

I understand that. Losing 11 games hurt didn't it?

Yes, I know. It just seemed the team was uneasy. It doesn't mean there was more to it than it being an early game, but it isn't just a coincidence that the team improved each game offensively, and then magically the game JJ is reinstated things start getting touchy.

incorrect, or you don't remember when the battery investigation was going on.

People were demanding jail time, based on his poor play.

It was a package substitution. Since it hadnt been run, or even practiced this yr; Yeah someone forgot. Thats why JJ should be been eased in, not the first scoring drive back

Again, what was the TO for? Miles being goofy, or a substitution error?

First part, yes. I don't mean to imply the drops were because of JJ or some conspiracy. I think it's simply a distraction that affected the team. Have him back changes the dynamics on the team a bit.
